Hi Jerry , I live in England and owned my MG ZS EV since December 2022. Just wanted to say I’ve learned so much from watching your videos about my car , without your videos don’t know where I would be. I love this latest Video as I’ve experienced at least 4 of the issues you have covered. I’ve promoted just about all your videos covering this vehicle as I genuinely think they are the best for anyone waiting delivery or just taken delivery of the MG ZS EV. Hi Jerry, great videos and well done. After a year, I had my first system fault after using a faulty charger. Thanks to your video, had an adjustable spanner with me, disconnected the battery and left it a few minutes. Reset worked, moved to a new charger, and all sorted.

Thanks Jerry I have a new ZS EV here in Scotland 🏴, I have seen the battery not working warning but didn’t know why , so I will now always make sure my foot is down firmly before starting , I also didn’t know how to adjust the temp in the car from my app which I can now do , very helpful on a cold 🥶 & frosty morning , I really appreciate your advice , Thanks again 😊

I had the issue you describe a 1020 ismart app not connecting on my MG ZS EV. Your solution worked well. Thank you very much for your vid. The vehicle distributor was not particularly helpful.

We have ordered an MG for delivery in a few weeks and being we will be over 300km from a dealership and service centre you have put my mine at ease with clear answers to questions that will undoubtedly occur within the first few months of ownership. Again this is the best information, sales support video I have seen for any product ever. Your attitude towards real issues. Yes they happened and this is how they are fixed. With the last hint about the charger you have probably saved every owner that watches this hours of stress and inconvenience.
This video should be installed on the centre console screen as standard.
How to force headlights off (or not turn on) even when radio is on? Nuisance at the drive-in cinema.
Can the car use a wifi Hotspot?
Can the mobile SIM be replaced for other markets?

Fantastic video Jerry. My wife has just ordered a MG ZS EV here in Hawke's Bay so I've been watching a lot of your video's today. I really appreciate the time and effort you put in to making these videos. I'm already thinking of getting an MG for myself, and if I do, I'll came up to Auckland and talk to you!
Can I ask a question - do you sell the Vehicle To Load (V2L) cable to charge external appliances? Is this function even available in New Zealand? The dealer here didn't really know much about it.

V2L is available on the new MG ZS EV. The genuine V2L cable will be available soon in NZ.

very helpful 8th question. ive tried charging on a 50kw charger, worked first time. second time charger stopped then reconnected again then it went through. other cars have been charging without problem so its not the charger. it probably because the computer cannot communicate with the charger properly
Please do a clip on specifically MG ZST Vibe model with all problems, seems I am not that happy with the pick up of this car, I just got this last week, in Australia

With the last bit about battery issues with fast charging I'm having an issue with fast chargers where it will connect but immediately disconnect and ill get a message through the charger app saying session ended.
There are no alarms coming up on the car dash or app and this has happened 2 different branded fast chargers, Any thoughts?.

Do you got any idea where i can change the language of the car? I already found the button to toggle the infotainment system into my desired language but that doesn't change anything to my warning system. Could you please help me out?

I used the GoPro hero 10 on the dashboard facing me for recording plus voice and hand held the iPhone for videos towards the dashboard.
The GoPro video is the primacy video in the background and I added the iPhone video on top of the GoPro footage when editing. That’s the feature called PIP(Picture in Picture).
Can Problem 8 can be done with resetting your computer via Engineering Mode - thats probably what your tech would do, right? 😜 But prevention is better than cure, so thanks for the tip on not repeatedly plugging in a faulty DC charger :)
No. It’s not that simple. Only factory scan tool can fix it at the current state
Thanks for the video. I have a question the dealers in Australia can't answer. In the NZ/AU spec, does the brake light come on when you use KERS 3 and take your foot off the accelerator? It slowed fairly hard in the test drive and I was a little worried someone would run up my rear end! I have just ordered an Excite and that was possibly my one niggling question while I wait
Brake light does come on when regen braking is engaged
Do you know if its possible to change the language of the instrument pack? Not the infotainment systemet, but screen behind the steering wheel.
Not as far as I know. Both are English only for NZ or AU version.
Jerry ! Great video. My MG is short range one giving 320 km. When I charged fully, it shows more than 345 km in eco mode. Can i drive 345 km indeed? Till now I have not gone to long trip,but I have to after weeks. Please tell me what are the precaution I should take before I move for long trip.
The 345km is based on your previous driving. If your next trip condition 100% matches your previous driving, then possible. If not, no.
Can they add cruise control break regenaration with an update in the future ? And I never saw it in a video before that’s why I ask did the ZS EV use a heatpump ?
Not likely for cruise control break regeneration.
No heatpump on ZS EV.

Hi jerry✋🏻 i have a query.. in mg zs ev opening the front door by pressing the silver button on the front door handle always opens the door .. or only when we have the keys in our hand

Hi Jerry, have been watching your brilliant videos on ZS EV. Have a query please. Should we turn the knob to neutral when waiting at the traffic light. Also, the difference between electronic parking and auto hold is not clear, can you please clarify these two points. Thanks
No need to keep it on Neutral at all. Just use AutoHold. Check this tutorial:

@@JerryPanandCars Sorry some more questions. When do we use the neutral position on the knob. Sometimes we have to leave the car in neutral when parking on the street. Shall we use this then. When do we press the 'P' on the knob. Also, if there is some water logging on the road is it dangerous to drive through the water ?
@rdcal when you park, use P, when you move, use R or D. You shouldn’t need N in most scenarios unless the vehicle has issues and you want to tow it away.

Please make video about Heating car… even when i increased the temperature to 27/28, Ac still throws cold air instead of hot air
If the vehicle has been driven for a short while, it should be hot air. If not, check with the dealer for problem.

If I fold the door mirrors of the **MG ZS EV 2024** before locking the car, will they remain folded when you unlock the doors?
I have never tried it actually. Just try it next time.
