i have watched this video everyday for the last ~352 days
if matt mehana was in a deathcore band, instead of a scenecore one, he would be known as one of the greatest screamers of all time, and surely the greatest deathcore has ever seen. he's the only screamer that i've ever heard sound good when hitting maxed out highs.

the quality is 10x better when the lighting is good though,
it gets a little fuzzy when it's dark.
i don't think he's usin any effects at screamin... but he's definitely using auto-tune, that is undeniable
these guys are pretty freakin awesome live, now i wanna go to one of their shows!

nah, that dudes wrong. you can buy an autotune hookup for your mike. a voice box creates a robo sound while auto tune corrects pitch.

@JachimoTV the mic has like autotune filtered in or w/e when you scream and there's autotune, it has no effect, but when you sing, depending on how heavy the autotune is, it will change the notes and whatnot yo

as far as i know, a day to remember doesn't use auto tune live.
and he has a pretty fluid change from cleans to heavy vocals.
although it's not as rapid as the changes in ISMFOF.

Mic Into Mixer, Mixer into Computer or whatever they're using Autotune with, Computer into front house.
So it's really not that expensive and hard to use. And they are a fairly big band anyway.
Plus, they are using Autotune here so it can't be that hard.

last time when we filmed sex ed rocks he was using it but it actually made it sound worse because the efffect was turned up too much.
this time i don't think he was using it, if he was it was just really low.

There's a difference between a talk box and auto-tune. Auto tune requires you to sing within a certain frequency range that auto tune will "correct" to the perfect pitch. So they are singing, and without the auto tune I'm sure the sound would be a lot better. But the half reason they use it is to replicate the sound on their record. A talk box does exactly what you're describing, they don't sing, just mouth words. But 99.9% of the time the person talking is also playing synth/guitar for the note
