I went to Miku Expo 2019 Taiwan, but would've also loved to go to Hong Kong just to hear Miku speak Cantonese. Nevertheless, it was really a wonderful experience. It was my first live Vocaloid concert and I wish it never ended. Gonna be attending Magical Mirai 2019 soon as well :D
Oh, that’s exciting! I’m planning to go to Magical Mirai as well sometime in the future. Do you know around how much you’re spending for the entire trip? Trying to figure out how much I need to save 😂
@@PanickedPixel For my Taiwan trip, I spent around $500 USD for food and merchandise while the cost for travel was around 2-3 times that. So I expect something similar or more for Magical Mirai.
This whole vocaloid thing is so surreal for me. Have you ever read the William Gibson "Bridge Trilogy" novel arc... Virtual Light > Idoru > All Tomorrow's Parties?
No, I haven’t but I did look it up after reading your comment. Sounds really interesting and kinda reminds me of Black Mirror hahaha. Funnily enough, some guy did actually “marry” Hatsune Miku - there are some videos on that too 😂
Lol not at all. Might as well watch some MIKU EXPO videos to deal with the sadness and disappointment. Might do another Miku-related video soon though. Maybe that'll cheer you up! :)
Also I have a question, I will go to miku expo Europe Amsterdam and it will be my first concert EVER And I was wondering, does the song list get released before the show or is it kind of a surprise until your, there?
Set list doesn’t usually come out beforehand. Some fans might release set lists after the previous shows in Europe but the lineup for Amsterdam might be slightly different. At least, that’s what I think after seeing the Hong Kong and Taiwan lists.
I heard you say you want to buy a king blade. I personally wouldn’t as it’s a waste. They are banned from all miku events because they’re brighter and effect the screen she’s projected on. I’ve been to many miku concerts and have seen people get in trouble due to using inappropriate lights. Only Miku licensed lightsticks are allowed and also the 1 use chemical glow sticks are allowed
Oh yeah, completely forgot about that rule! Thanks for reminding me! But I guess whether it’s acceptable depends on the location, how strict security is and the rules for the specific concert. My friend managed to use her King Blade at the MIKU EXPO concert we went to no problem. And I assume a King Blade would be acceptable in other Japanese concerts that don’t have a virtual singer. I wouldn’t mind investing in a King Blade for an utaite or jpop concert.
@@PanickedPixel If your still thinking about buying a king blade, then i think a good recommendation would be a king blade one1, mainly because its a little cheaper, its dimmer (possibly as dim as official penlights) , still features the usual 15 colors and it only requires one AA battery while having a long battery life.
I’d say go as early as possible if any of them are looking to get merch. Highly recommend getting the official glow stick at the very least so you can get the full experience. Other than that, bring some water, maybe a towel (cheering can get pretty intense) and only carry a small bag. ☺️
As much as I love them and all theres no point really spending money to go to a concert for then when it's the same on a phone or any device and it's really just an mmd with a already recorded song and stuff and you can make one of those projections at home
I can see where you’re coming from but I also have to disagree. There’s really no replacement for the energy of a large crowd and a live band. What you’re paying for isn’t just the performance, it’s also the togetherness of people who love the same thing and the celebration of artists who made those feelings possible. I encourage you to try it once so you’ll see what I mean. I spent a lot of my teenage years watching these concerts on NND. It’s completely different in person.
Aww, well, there are always more important things to take care of. But if you’re ever able to save up just a little bit, it’s worth going to smaller live shows in general. Even performances at small bars or restaurants are worth going to at least once in your life ❤️
How good they are will depend on the venue. I’ve been to concerts where sitting is better than standing because of the location angle. Vocaloid concerts also tend to have giant screens for you to see what’s going on. I wouldn’t worry too much!
For anyone curious, some official performance videos are available to watch on the Hatsune Miku channel! ruclips.net/user/HatsuneMiku

Is it sad that I’m watching this because HATSUNE MIKU Expo 2020 USA & CAÑADA got canceled completely and I was going to Dallas?

Oh okay thank you very much!
No worries! Feel free to ask me questions here or on Twitter if you need to know anything else. Hope you enjoy your first concert!!
Still dreaming of Miku having a concert at the Philippines-
Maybe one day she will! ❤️

WAIT YOU’RE 27/28?! you look younger than you are!
Haha yeah, I’m turning 27 this year. How old did you think I was? 😂

Hey! Found you on Roverto's Discord and just here to say hi! 😃
Hey there! Thanks for stopping by!
So I have seating spots. Quite scared I wont be able to see alot >.

For a moment I thought you were tokaku
