I love the thought of focusing on local politics and how we can help those that we are in direct contact with.

"The technology is so far ahead of our ethics" - perfectly stated.

You are all correct. There is very little sympathy for men. People in academia are fighting a patriarchy that existed in the 1900s. And they forget that men born in this century have grown up in a girl-power, girl-boss, yes-queen culture that creates girl-centered environments and opportunities. Those opportunities are great and they have worked. But boys have fallen behind because it was all handled in a zero-sum manner. There was nowhere near as much "boy positivity." And they are, as the brothers mentioned, vulnerable to toxic influencers who validate their alienation.

If AI is pulling from great sermons that we assume are Spirit lead then what’s the problem? The preacher will always adjust it to their experiences with their congregation. Pastors of most churches are way over scheduled to spend a whole day or two in “study/prep”. Their families are who suffer

I'd imagine that AI could come with an inspirational message about a particular topic that might resonate with someone in the audience. The larger the audience, the greater the likelihood. Also, with a larger audience the greater number not reached. Home church/group would increase the 'hit-rate' IMHO.

Anybody heard Tom Wadsworth about what our gatherings would be about in the 1st century? After this election I'm sure that God's long game for us is waaaaaaay longer that what we can imagine. But, hey, He's got all the time in the world to accomplish the complete reset of the body of Christ on this earth.

AI is stupid- asked a question that I knew the answer to and AI’s answer was dead wrong. Asked again and the answer was still wrong. Won’t listen to an AI pile of doo.

The interesting thing about AI is it responds with what it was trained with. Why do you think the prominent view in the training data was wrong? Is it a niche subject or is it highly contested? Just curious

I think you are right to say we need to talk about what we are for, not just what we are against.
But I do think you under estimate how many do think that there is only one type of Chrsitianity. and there is a need to reframe. I do think that you are right that pushing toward what we are for is necessary.
I pay attention to the desconstruction community quite a bit. And I hear all the time that many are rejeting all of Christianity because they think that the only part that exists is the MAGA part. Trish is right that we also need to love our MAGA neighbor. But the discourse around "well of course President Carter could not have been a Christian" I think is exactly why we need at least the "I am a love your neighbor Christian" (I am find dropping the "storm the capital" part).
We are getting to the point where the very goals of what it means to be a Christian are under debate.
And I do think that there are just different stances that different parts of the church need to be taking. I left my previous church because Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed it as her church even though the church leadership knew she hasn't be an attender in almost 10 years. The church said it was trying to become more diverse and wanted to be doing "racial reconciliation" but didn't want to alienate MTG supporters by telling the truth that she wasn't a member there.
I am for determining a positive message of what the church is...but there does also in naming what the church is for, need to be some role in saying that other things are not what we should be doing or saying if we want to claim Christianity.
