I think this may be my favortie version of this amazing song. You can see how well Bob compliments Jerry, He's not simply overrated, but overlooked. Beautiful everyone.

Yes, Bob plays some remarkable lines in this one. Brent too though. Especially near the end. 6:15-ish The whole band. Beyond Description, as per usual.
@illuminotmereloaded6896 yeah,I mean they all do a good run through this show,but the 12-31-83 peggyo just can't be beat,it's so hard to compare really....ever 5 years or so I get stuck on a different one.the 4-12-78 is up the among the really great Peggy-o s as well,jerry was gonna cut that solo to a end up,but he gets that look on his face and goes thru another run and then brings it back...god,this man was amazing.
The only thing I don't like about this era is the twinkly, toy piano sound they had Brent using. Later Brent was much better.
It boggles my mind why this doesn't have millions of views?!?!?
I kinda like it better that way, makes it seem more intimate idk why

Video was posted on a few different channels for years, some with pretty high view counts. They disappeared when this channel posted it. It is what it is.
When music gives me goose bumps I know it hits the spot and this did it to me multiple times…along with a tear shed at the end.
I grew up on western storytelling such as Louis L’Amour and Steinbeck but the stark reality is that as great as those figures were they weren’t worthy of washing JG’s underwear on a bad day. This man is from another planet

My favorite at the moment is 6/17/75 from The Winterland.
12/83 peggyo just can't be beat....Englishtown is pretty good,but that new year show peggyo,as bad a jerry looked that night,man the pain in his voice is just bone chilling.
