- Shout out to stillfigurineout. Another RUclipsr that is very knowledgeable in marvel legends knockoffs. I did a lot of research, but his videos were amping my favorite and the most straightforward and honest.
The funny thing is these KO are prob made in the same factories the marvel legends came from. The factories prob had defects that didn’t get approved by the license and needed to get remade or they just have the molds and made these to make extra side money. So even though it’s not approved by the Hasbro it’s still made from the same people.
Seems like an ok knock off but if you handed 10 year old me this figure I’m sure I would have thought it was flawless. Keep up the great content brother
@@dropdeaddaniel18 for the price man, I just can’t complain. I’m just happy to have a classic suit spidey on my shelf without having for fork out double ALMOST triple what it retails for.
My critiques are only for the review. I want to be transparent and honest with all my reviews. But overall I’d definitely recommend him to any collectors who is in search or need of a classic suit spidey.

Dang man, that thing looks fantastic if you ask me. Considering that it’s a much older figure with the pins still in the legs, paying $13 for it seems like an absolute steel. $60-$70 on the aftermarket for original that is over a decade old Seems totally exorbitant. That bootleg looks just as good as some of the original authentic Hasbro figures coming out lately. Great review as always, I always look forward to your content.
@@hyperdrivecollections6460 it does look pretty nice man I can’t lie. I think when I first opened it up I was a little harsh on it at first. Just because the Venom I got looked damn near identical to the original.
Like you said, for a much older figure 13 bucks is just a ridiculous deal. I couldn’t pass it up.
Overall the figure is actually very nice. My only complains are the typical ones: slightly sloppy/missing paint and loose articulation. But the fact it’s still as good as it is makes me happy. And he’s fun to pose and mess with!

I have the real deal, it’s a good figure but it ain’t 60 bucks good. The bootleg seems like a decent alternative, all things considered. Great video, dude

Appreciate you posting these videos, bro. I’ve been collecting black series exclusively for the last few years, but have been branching out a bit lately. Wouldn’t have even considered some of these figures at their regular retail, or worse, eBay prices. How the f could you go wrong for $13? I mean, you even get an alternative head & hands. I’m in the same boat as you. Been collecting tong black series for close to (maybe slightly over 2 years. I always told myself I would only collect Star Wars. Then I bought a couple Indiana Jones figures, a dc multiverse earth-2 Batman, now I’m getting sucked into marvel legends. lol. All thanks to that x-men ‘97 reboot. It uncovered my soft spot for marvel.
Dude you’re totally right. Some of those eBay listing prices are INSANE. But with KOs like this it’s just a no brainer to me. Would I rather have the 75 dollar animated retro card spidey, Ofcourse I do. Do I want to pay 3/4 of a 100? No, no really. For certain characters maybe.
The price was just too hard to pass up. Less than 15 bucks? You just can’t go wrong imo.

I saw a lot of legit Hasbro retro Spideys that had far worse misaligned web line and paint work so for 13 this is amazing deal.
@@SpiderS2099 I haven’t had the opportunity to see any in person. But I’m not suprised!! Even the big companies have plenty of packaging errors and missing/sloppy paint.

There really should be a new name for figures such as this as knockoffs/bootlegs carries such negativity.
We’ve all seen figures that are truly worthy of being called bootleg or knockoff due to using cheaper materials and cutting corners but this and venom certainly aren’t some of those!

Even if it was something like: this is the NAP (non authentic product) Venom. Call it a NAP figure instead of bootleg or knock-off. Lol idk. I’m just spitballing. But something along those lines would be nice to call the “nice” KOs.
Certainly! This Venom is definitely deserving of another name other than a “knock-off”. It is very nicely done for a “NAP” figure lol. I tried to use it but I’m not sure how i feel about it lmao.

@@ALMACENRELOCO it does look pretty damn good! The fact that this is even slightly close to the original is a win. And for less than 15 bucks it’s just hard to pass up. Not a bad figure by any means. If somebody else is gonna let some slightly sloppy/missing paint and loose joints get in the way of having an awesome figure, I feel bad for th. However, it’s their money to do what they wish with.
