My Bolex jammed the first time I shot something…I think my problem was due to the take up reel being bent and not taking up the film.

Despite no crystal sync, would you ever shoot a short dialog scene?

I got a bolex over a decade ago for my birthday and have never shot anything on that. Need to change that.

Really love this short piece you put together. What lighting set up did you have for the blue light scenes? I love that

Much appreciated! I have another video coming out shortly talking some more about 16mm. For that scene we used a skypanel bouncing into the ceiling giving us that blue ambient and a kino armed above the canvas giving us that toplight.

It turned out, but we just used whatever was left of it

I had a Krasnagorsk which started to eat a roll of 250D halfway through a shoot on a beach.
Unloading, clearing and reloading without loosing footage was a horrendous experience.
Ended up selling that and now I shoot with a Bolex Rex-5 that I had converted to super16 with EF mount.
