This is EXACTLY why I started, and continue to watch BlacktipH. Josh, you are HANDS down the BEST COACH ever. I've taught sooooo many guys how too fish as you have. GREAT JOB, keep up the great work my freind. ABSOLUTLEY LOVE YOUR VIDS.
I dont understand why some folks give a thumbs down on this video. I think every vid this guy puts out is full of action! Totally awesome. Always excited to see the next one come out.
wow that would be so sweet to catch something like that. I want to take my daughter to the gulf to go fishing one day hopefully soon. were only 250 miles. but being on dis. and single parent that's long way to me. but I'm going over to check out his channel and I'll sucribe so y'all have fun catch more and stay blessed. god bless everyone.
Come to Humboldt County and go fishing with me man I'm really really inspired bye what you fish how you fish would be awesome if I could go fishing with you
Watching this got me all fired up. I really need to go shark fishing again, the last time I caught a big shark was when I was 18 years old...Definitely need to break out the shark rig soon!
My father caught a seagull a few years back fishing from a dock. But one time when we were out on our boat, we saw a blitz that was up against the shore. I'm from Jersey and we were fishing the Raritan Bay right off the north west side of Sandy Hook. The blitz had hundreds of birds working the water and the surface looked like a Jacuzzi that wouldn't stop bubbling. The whole blitz was about 3/4 of a mile along the coast and about 1/4 out from the shore. It was blue fish, stripers and even some mahi mahi. I threw out my brand new $30 lure(like an idiot because the blues would just destroy it) and I hooked into a nice 7 pound blue. After I let it go, I threw my line out again and as the line dropped down to the water a seagull flew right under the line and got completely wrapped up. I then had a blue take the lure. So the poor bird was getting tugged by the blue and by me. I was able to get the bird to the boat, cut the lure side of the line and then bring the bird on the boat to free him. He was pissed but ultimately he flew off safe and sound.
Just a pointer, it isn't another shark. It would be a much cleaner cut. Similar to a knife. It comes from the chafing. You lose a lot of bigger sharks to their rough skin on their tails chafing the line. Use longer wire leaders to prevent this.
Food chain challenge: Use bait to catch a Bonita, let the Bonita get eaten by a shark, and let the shark get eaten by a Goliath grouper, all on the SAME line.
AS always I enjoy your videos. You should make a trip up to NC in the summer months and fish cape point for spinners and blacktips, using bluefish heads. on casted outfits. My rigs are 6' 400lb mono for a leader with a 10/0J hook..
+++ good video. Can you post what kind of tacke you were using for the crevalles? When you said you got bit off, all I could think of was 'yeah, shark was wrapped up, the bait was pinned against the shark somewhere, and a flock of sharks were chasing the first one, to get the bait!'
+BlacktipH very cool vid!! Ive got a question for you Josh, so Ive been shark fishing off the beach for a little over two years now, I had two senators 9/0s and two 14/0s. I just sold one of each and I was wondering if an avet ex 30 is good enough (regarding LC and drag #s) for medium drops off the beach for blacktips, and other sharks up to 8 ft? Or should i go with the exw 30, an ex 30 is only $386 on tackle direct, so thats a hell of a deal. would really appreciate your response, thank you!
What kind of rod and reel is used in this vid... going to Naples Florida for Christmas and I will be fishing off of the pier going for shark and I need some tips on what gear to get
You sure that isn't a Spinner shark? They're stockier at the same length than a regular Blacktip, and grow longer, and have not been considered a subspecies for quite a while. (Though they of course both have black tips, and both spin when they jump.)
Whoops, yeah, that's a Blacktip... which I guess ARE stockier under 6 foot than a Spinner under 6 foot... but of course a 5 foot Blacktip isn't as stocky as a 7 foot Spinner. If an adult has a backmost bottom fin that, like that one, does not have a black tip, though, it's definitely a Blacktip.
Hey BlacktipH, what type rod and reel were you guys using for the sharks. great videos, love watching all your videos. keep up the good work and Tight Lines
As he is releasing the shark and is dragging the shark backwards on the bottom with the surf stirring up the sand, Doesnt the sand get into the sharks gills? Is it bad for the sharks health? Nice catch though with the sharks and jacks!!! Great video!
Josh, I have a shark rod with 50lb braid and a BlacktipH shark rig. I have a PENN spin fisher V with 30lb braid and a 20lb mono leader. Is it strong enough for cobia, Jack crevall, bonito and similar fish? Also the Spinfisher V is on a 6'6 MH
Awesome video! I am looking to buy a new heavy-duty spinning rod. Ideally I want to do both jigging (max 200g lure weight) and heavy surface popping for GTs. Does anyone have recommendations for a good rod and reel combo? Best case would be a travel format rod (i.e. 4 or more sections)
Idk why I thought it was so funny when the shark tipped over at 10:12 😂💀
rollover,
who's a good boy
Epic video! Thanks again for everything man!!
The Fish Whisperer hi
The Fish Whisperer with

Did you end up taking you and your daughter?
Just as I expected. Perfect ultralight reel.
"Now it's time to put Kyle on a big black tip"
Hey Josh I love your videos and your hard work and keep doing what your doing.
I do miss my saltiga awesome reel but after getting shafted by daiwa service, sold it got a mid range reel that cost as much as one of the parts did.
Dao Thao what reel I’m new to saltwater
@@morgn_127 i got a shimano saragosa. If u into fishing and want the best without the price but still its $300. Better buying a new reel than a part.
Dao Thao ok thanks
WOW ! Sebastine is a paradise for all types of fish except for the last three times I have fished last week you guys did just great.
Looks so easy to fishing for jack after watched you
You have mad skills...much respect!👏👏 Your videos are seriously making me want to learn to fish!🐟🦈

I like how his heart rate went down when he actually hooked the shark
Awsome video BlacktipH
you should also post in the description what tackle you use
That looked brutal. You wanna talk about some noodle arms afterwards.
Classic blacktiph clip right there!
Nice work on the release! Shark fishing from shore is awesome.
“He’s not gonna live, well use him for shark bait” quotes from a wise fisherman.
lol the way he ran down the beach😂😂
Kyle took that black tip like a champ
lmao "what's your biggest jack?" then Kyle says "not ever pound" loll
The ones that get away......keeps you going back for more though. Love your videos man.
You should put the rod and reels u use in the description of your videos

Love this love from Scotland
Spot on with that countdown though 😂
Derek Peterson
Woo is really abundant fish there. Greetings from Indonesia.
You guys are awesome, so cool what you did for the one guy.

I love fishing the sebastian inlet
should I upgrade from my penn battle II 6000 to the 8000 size? And also what pound braid should I use
"He's got a baby red fish bro "slams that red fish hard asf"
You actually did get spooled in my book, i would throw all that braid away
Another great vid!!
blacktipH this would have been a good live stream I think
That's so awesome! I just bought that same Piscifun steel feeling spinning reel a few weeks ago. Man those things work great! Nice video
Wild adventures it not a piscifun it's a Daiwa saltiga
its a daiwa saltist
Zonska Gaming no it's a Saltiga. Saltist are black and blue
Food chain challenge: Use bait to catch a Bonita, let the Bonita get eaten by a shark, and let the shark get eaten by a Goliath grouper, all on the SAME line.
Hsdhbshabavbsb pretty sure they shark would eat the grouper
Reptonize Blank not a 500lb Goliath
Wow.....
One cast one strike....
Good job bro....
Let's get Josh to 400,000 subs
AS always I enjoy your videos. You should make a trip up to NC in the summer months and fish cape point for spinners and blacktips, using bluefish heads. on casted outfits. My rigs are 6' 400lb mono for a leader with a 10/0J hook..
What combo were you using at the beginning of the video?
nice fishing at sebastian, hope i see you there soon
Nice video man!
Josh what lures were you using at the beginning and what lures do you recommend for dock and surf fishing
+++ good video. Can you post what kind of tacke you were using for the crevalles? When you said you got bit off, all I could think of was 'yeah, shark was wrapped up, the bait was pinned against the shark somewhere, and a flock of sharks were chasing the first one, to get the bait!'
thx 4 being careful of birds, lots of fisherman dont care etc
If you happen to get wrapped up with a bird while casting. Try putting the reel in free spool and most times the bird will get out line.
snaggyslugworm fishing/vlogs
How was he careful? Didn't he temporarily snag one after casting into like 300 of them? Lol
Chuck D he switched lures....
+BlacktipH very cool vid!! Ive got a question for you Josh, so Ive been shark fishing off the beach for a little over two years now, I had two senators 9/0s and two 14/0s. Christian Matson you should be fine with the ex30 if you fill it with braid
The EX30 will be great. Spool it with 2/3 of 100lb braid backing and 1/3 of 130lb mono topshot.
Nice josh. Using the Daiwa Saltiga? 65lb power pro? Wasn't sure if you lightened your gear for the smaller bt's as opposed to bull's and hammers.
What type of equipment do you need to surf fish for jacks, snook, and shark?
Bro. You went from a bird to a JACK . sooo intense. I used to hate the pelicans off the jettys in coco beach. Uuugh
Love Sebastian inlet
That last blacktip could've been foul hooked and the tail could've frayed the line and cut it. Just a guess though. Great vid:)
+Inlet Reg I had 10ft of 150lb mono shock leader with an FG Knot connection. The bite was above the FG knot.
BlacktipH We're you using a silver crippled Herring to catch the jacks
The line was fine he didn't get cut off the shark just spat it
what is the best rod and reel setup for any type of surf fishing, and maybe some pier fishing? Also what line do you use?
I would recommend this one: bit.ly/best-surf-combo. Spool it with 40lb braid.
your never gonna stop a shark on that set up
You should take him Goliath grouper fishing
3..2..1.. called it
May I ask what type of line do u use and what poundage
50lb Bullbuster braid.
Jorge andrés pb means personal best
There are not that many now, there used to be a lot of jacks at sebastian.Overfishing them and now you barely see one!
Looks like a fun place to go surfing.
9:20 Action Bronson in the background hoping for free sushi.
I did get spooled by a black tip on a pier and i didn't even notice, took 500 yards of braid
Good fishing
I caught a 22.79 pound jack cravelle last week
Great Video!
I want that saltiga DAMNN
please do a video on new fishing poles
What kind of rod and reel is used in this vid... going to Naples Florida for Christmas and I will be fishing off of the pier going for shark and I need some tips on what gear to get

Where were you guys fishing at? Have you been to Sebastian Inlet?

Nice battle. What is the rod you are using pls. Let me know
Just curious because i'ts never happened to me. What does happen when you get fully spooled? i assume it breaks the spool
Either the line breaks or the rod.
Hey BlacktipH, what type rod and reel were you guys using for the sharks. great videos, love watching all your videos. keep up the good work and Tight Lines
I was using this reel: amzn.to/2fHzxnl and this rod: bit.ly/hanta-ulua-86xh
I just got a Shimano sustain 5000 the 2018 model There awsome reels
What test was your leader so I can get more success with shark fishing
As he is releasing the shark and is dragging the shark backwards on the bottom with the surf stirring up the sand, Doesnt the sand get into the sharks gills? Is it bad for the sharks health? Nice catch though with the sharks and jacks!!! Great video!
+villa villa The sand doesn't bother the sharks gills. They beach themselves all the time chasing food.
haha Nice. Crazy that they beach themselves. Are those blacktips the hardest fighting you think?
Josh, I have a shark rod with 50lb braid and a BlacktipH shark rig. I have a PENN spin fisher V with 30lb braid and a 20lb mono leader. Is it strong enough for cobia, Jack crevall, bonito and similar fish? Also the Spinfisher V is on a 6'6 MH
Hello please tell me how much lengh have the rod and what lbs has at cast , what is the main line size , please , thank you
I love your videos candy you make a video on new fishing poles
Why do you guys use spinning gear? Just wondering, is there more in depth reasons?
Hey josh can you do a rod and reel arsenal
Awesome video! I am looking to buy a new heavy-duty spinning rod. Ideally I want to do both jigging (max 200g lure weight) and heavy surface popping for GTs. Does anyone have recommendations for a good rod and reel combo? Best case would be a travel format rod (i.e. 4 or more sections)
Love you videos
this is where they did the 3 hour livestream with kanalgratis
He is sponsored by Shimano but uses a Daiwa Saltist and saltiga in the shark fishing section
So jealous! Are jacks good eating?
Not bad cooked up with some butter and garlic and pepper to taste
Sir BigBeard and not to frogot a damm lemon
damn lemon
I don't think jacks are good eating, I personally have never tried them.
