Can we take a moment to appreciate that he marked the slurs and articulations so well? We always talk about how important tonguing is but we always see so many transcriptions with no articulation markings at all! Also I’ve wanted to see someone do this solo for a while. Props! 👍🏼👍🏼
Coltrane… shite! Gimme a break! The ease he put on display throughout that solo is a wonder to me. I will never attain that level of skill. It’s discouraging but yet inspiring at the same time. Ugh…
@@michaelroach4219 Look, I know what practice can produce. I used to do a minimum of 4 hours every day when I was in college. But, that requires a commitment I'm not willing to make at this point in my life (I'm 55). So yes, I know what I most definitely COULD do, but truthfully won't at this point in my life.

His solo was so fire that the sound waves from his sax became visible😂
Coltrane is so smooth, he plays wild shit but he delivers it in such a smooth way, lyrical, soothing

Coltrane, such a deep earthiness in his playing
Great. It's not just the notes, but the tone, phrasing, nuances, articulation, dynamics. Look at his note choices too.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion
Ive had people say this to me. But they just dont understand
THEY NEVER HEARD TRANE...
When someone says s#!t like that always say: "That's your opinion and you know what they say about those,.....right?" 😆
