I'm from Mumbai. In this day and age, a guy like Dawood Rangan would not be able to do his shit unopposed in the city. He would either be shot or he would have been arrested and prosecuted (whether the court would give him a conviction is a different matter entirely).
I think IOI based him off the gangsters of Mumbai in the late 80s and early 90s, when guys like Dawood Ibrahim (terrorist and gangster, responsible for the 1993 Mumbai Bomb Blasts), his sister, Haseena Parkar (Apa), Chota Rajan, Bada Rajan, Chota Shakeel, and many more guys who used to have open turf warfare on the streets and many innocent civilians used to be caught in the crossfire. But I think post 1993-1995, the government started cracking down on these guys and many had to flee to the UAE and Pakistan or be gunned down by the Mumbai Police in many encounters (of course there were many who got arrested and successfully prosecuted as well and are now serving prison sentences).
So the type of organised crime in Mumbai being shown in Hitman 2 is very very hard to do today even if you have political connections, cuz once the press breaks the story whole load of shit happens at once.
Also, Dawood Rangan's so-called movie ever existed in real life, forget the other Dons, I would take a gun and pop a bullet in the asshole's skull for insulting my city like that.

@@lillith3159 That's the line that got me. I was expecting the standard and very accurate line about dosages.
(Belladonna is a powerful neuro-blocker. Taken topically and at low doses, it can treat things like siatica that normal pain medicines can't (as it's straight nerve pain; normal pain medicines work on the pain receptors, and can't do anything for when you have something crimping on the nerve halfway up). It can also be used to treat breathing problems like asthma and whooping cough by relaxing muscles in the airway, and can be used similarly for Parkinsons. Furthermore it was once used cosmetically by Italian women who wanted to forcibly dilate their pupils - the blank, wide-eyed stare was apparently attractive at the time - this is the source of the name Belladonna, Italian for Beautiful Woman.
It's also really easy to take too much in which case your heart relaxes and decides to stop for a while... It's *also* herbally sourced and has a number of active ingredients, which makes finding correct doses really difficult, which is a really bad combination with something with such a low overdose threshold that it's generally considered a poison. (this is why we use synthetics in modern medicine, or carefully isolate active ingredients from their natural form into a chemical - because getting consistent dosages of medicine is bloody important, and herbs vary based on genetics, growing conditions, etc. It is technically possible to control for all that, but there's no big industry doing it, and naturopaths doing it themselves have to balance between that and their daily practice and real life, and being human, probably aren't 100% reliable.)

Agent 47 had more dialogue and personality in this video than he ever did in all the older Hitman games combined. Love the dark humour!
As a side note, my favourite Agent 47 dialogue moment is when during the mission "The Author" you can dress up as the author's mega fan and during his photoshoot Agent 47 asks a bunch questions and actually criticizes this man's knockoff version of Twilight. After that very mission, you see Agent 47 flying away in his personal jet during a cutscene and you can see an opened book by the author he just killed! Really shows how far Agent 47 goes to study and learn every one of his targets and the simple idea that Agent 47 would even read or analyze some teen-vampire drama book series written by his target prior to the mission is absolutely HILARIOUS!!!
