Hello Katrina Lee, This is a really good lesson. Note: Mandarin Chinese has difficult components and usually not easy compared to other languages. Chinese writing in the traditional form has numerous words has many more strokes that are rather complex for important words. Only a few things are "super easy" and things would be harder without Pinyin. The usage of Pinyin helps children and adults, younger or older learn the language.

"Have you finished talking/eating/...?" is more usual. (Colloquial speech in the USA often uses the simple past, but it sounds weird to everyone else, and all the highly educated US citizens I've asked about it have also said that using it is wrong in these situations: the present perfect relates the past action to the present effect, which is what 完了 does too.)

Hey, Katrina. First I'd like to say that you are a nice person and teacher. Secondly I'd like to give you a suggestion. Don't get me wrong but Why don't you name this video "to finish doing something in Mandarin"? I'm sure you will get so many more views if you do so. The vast majority of English speaking people have no idea of what the heck "Result Complement" is, cause they have never heard of it. Therefore they would never google it. On the other hand I can assure you that all of them would search for "to finish doing something in Mandarin".

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your suggestion. hahah... I'm not really good at the biz part or how to get more viewers actually. just too busy with teaching and making videos. I'll think more about this when I name my videos! :) THANK YOU!
