haha... I feel like i'm disturbing a date XD I hope she was ok with that, I suppose you met up to ...make videos and talk about tutoring? XD Sooo I suppose nobody cares but here are my comments on her plans and the conversation haha: After I moved and could no longer take proper japanese class in person (small town) I tried a lot of different online tutors and I find that they are often very expensive and not very...satisfying. Many just "talk" with you, like a tandem. But to teach you need more than just do conversation. Too few actually tried teaching my grammar, let alone along with a proper book. I think if you are a professional tutor that actually includes normal schooling aspects into the tutoring, you still have a pretty solid chance. Unfortunately, many of those were beyond my budget. In comparison, a while into corona, more and more of our "shimin daigaku" (kinda a goverment founded thingy) started online classes and I am now taking one of those. I think I pay around 9 € per 45 minutes on those and it's a real proper class with textbooks and a very small group of students (I think we are 8). As to the online tutors: In the end i stopped looking for online tutors when the price was around 20 € / h. Even at that price, I was not able to get a real teacher. Of course, if you have private class it will be more expensive. Sorry this is a long wall of text, what I'm trying to say is, yes, there is a lot of tutors right now. But not a lot of teachers. I think if you try to be a good teacher, you can still find students quite well. As to the plans, I recommend taking a few courses in painting too. And to perhaps go out and set a date just to paint. I like to go to less casual restaurants for example. Because at home, you often get distracted... well...I don't know if this information is of any use...other than that: Thank you for taking the time to subtitle everything I bet it take sa lot of time!
