@@oliviamyers5466 yeah Sam is pretty straight character to me. I don't really know why people make queer things out of thin air but it's just a thing in all fandoms across all characters. TV shows make queer biting cause it works. Queer people make/like queer ships cause obviously they can relate to them and it's important to have such characters. But since majority of the audience is pretty straight I guess it's popular bc the ship is more dramatic that way (which it shouldn't really be for the sake of drama). It also can be bc most of the shippers are girls and it has smth to do with self involvement in the character and a female partner is viewed as a threat, I don't know. Anyway I don't think it should be this deep 😅 So if we take Sam in this perception, the most suitable male partner for him is going to be Gabriel or original male character. And why not? As long as it doesn't cross some lines
