- Anakin Skywalker was a Jedi Padawan during the final years of the Galactic Republic. What If Anakin Became Senator of Tatooine? Being that the Hutt controlled system was not apart of the Republic, how would he become a Senator of it? What would the reactions of Obi Wan, Palpatine, and the Republic itself be? Would his movement be taken with legitimacy or would he, like the rest of the Outer Rim, be forced from view?

That's actually pretty funny and knowing Yoda he'd probably wouldn't mind a harmless prank like having his cane hidden from him. He'd just chuckle and sit the culprit down and explain to them what they did wrong without actually punishing them.

To be perfectly fair, Tatooine is like the only place he conceivably COULD be elected as representative. It's a backwater where actions speak louder than words and my GOD do Anakin's actions speak loudly! So long as he could convincingly present the majority of the planet (or at least its commercial, industrial and population hubs) as supporting him, he's in. After all, the galaxy consists of monarchies, theocracies, democracies, dictatorships, corporate states etc. all with equal representation in the Galactic Senate. So long as you could reasonably say you had the support of your homeworld, or were appointed by its recognized ruler, you were as legit as anyone else.
The most interesting part is that the Republic made podracing illegal because of how dangerous it was.
The fact that in this story the Republic actually allowed it to continue on Tatooine means that Anakin, Padme, and a bunch of others managed to completelty revolutionize the sport by both making it safer and getting big corporations to realize that there's good money to be made by sponsoring teams.
Also I feel like there was a missed opportunity for Watto to show up to congratulate Anakin for everything he's accomplished and to be "the best bet he ever lost".
I also sort of saw it in another way. Tatoine is not part of the republic nor would the huts want it to be with thier ways of crime business and slaverry. Not sure if the republic ever tried or cares to change a plaet so far from them so why would anikin be made senator unless the jedi coincell listened to his point of view more and he was not influenced by Palpitine as much.

Yet I see a lot of funny spinoffs coming out of this...Fear and Loathing in Mos Eisely with Han and Chewie playing Dr.Hunter S. Thomspon and Dr.Gonzo. The Big Leblowski with Luke being Jeffery Lebowski, Wedge and Rex being his friends. That was amazing, seeing Anakin first trying his usual blunt ways only to get laughed at plus all the constant failures in the beginning humbling him but also strengthening his conviction to do this was impressive, and even more how this started as him being too stubborn to quit to him genuinely wanting something better not just for his family (and how nice that we get an AU where he does see the Lars as that) but for the whole planet.
Adding Onaconda as Anakin's mentor was pretty interesting, and how that culminates in a vote of no confidence on Palpatine was both genius and deliciously ironic, even more so since it also leads to Tyrannus joining in the change an getting rid of Sidious (I do love whenever Dooku gets the upper hand over Palpatine) which is just the icing on the cake.
Poor Obi, running around trying to find Anakin and missing just by a hair so often, wonder if the Force might have had a hand on that.
Good to see Anakin not only got a happy ending for his family and Tatooine, but for the whole Outer Rim.
What if the droid menace know as the Scourge escaped it's imprisonment during the Clone Wars and tried to take over the galaxy for his 'one unified mind' goal, starting with the Separatists' droid army?

It is said that to this day, Yoda still hasn't found his cane.
This story was perfect from beginning to end. I was surprised we didn't get any interactions with Anakin's old friends, but it made sense with how much you actually needed to focus on.
What if Anakin and Padme swapped lives? Padme being a slave that was the chosen one to bring balance to the force and become a Jedi master within the Jedi Order while Anakin was Naboo royalty that had his planet was invaded by the trade federation.

Damn this was great! This is a better way for Anakin to bring balance. Senator Skywalker definitely showed the Jedi and Senate what he could do. Excellent storytelling, Anakin being pro-union was heartwarming, gave him a way to bond with Shmi's husband and also was great strategy to stick to Jabba.

I could only imagine the chills that swept across this chamber when Anakin moved for a vote of no confidence. Palpatine being dismissed by the same procedure he used to elevate himself into -unlimited- power is way better than being tossed into a reactor shaft following 13 years as Chancellor and 23 years as Emperor.

This was amazing. I’ve been a fan of your videos for a while and it’s always fun to see your interesting SW what if’s. It was also fun to see Anakin become the senator of Tatooine getting shown some love. This is definitely an interesting scenario and it should definitely get shown some more love. Plus I think we can all agree that this is probably one of the most interesting/unique scenarios in SW…but it’s a welcome one. Also if Anakin did become the senator of Tatooine…then it would definitely be an interesting opportunity to show another side of his character and make it even more interesting. It was also nice to see Anakin look out for his home in the most unique way getting shown some love, since he usually never gets the chance to do crazy stunts (at least of this magnitude) like this that much and it was a nice change of pace to see him take the initiative and definitely made us all impressed. Plus it was nice to see Anakin get that opportunity to prevent certain events from happening…afterall it was nice to see him have a solid plan, afterall this was probably the smartest course of action he could take, so it was nice to see him come up with this plan to shift the power balance of the galaxy, since he knows that there’s still opportunity and hope in the galaxy. Also it’s always nice to see just how determined Anakin truly is…also this was definitely something Anakin would do. It was also nice to see you do your first “The Acolyte” ‘what if’ and truly give it the love and respect it deserves and truly making it something us SW fans would love. Also I think Anakin would make an interesting senator for Tatooine. Great job as always and I can’t wait to see what you do next.
I do have a few ideas for some possible what if’s:
1) What if Rey was a Mandalorian…essentially what if Din Djarin found Rey and took her in as a Foundling.
2) What if Ezra was a Mandalorian…something like how both his parents were Mandalorians who left Mandalore and went to start their own lives (you could still keep most of Ezra’s backstory) and potentially make Ezra and Sabine a couple (since Disney won’t, we have too…#ezrabine4ever.
3) What if Jango Fett and/or Boba Fett Joined the Republic…I think something interesting could happen with this.
4) What if Rey, Finn and Poe went back in time to the Clone Wars…this would make the World Between Worlds even more of an important focal point and I could also see them get along well with Anakin, Ashoka, Rex and the rest of the 501st (it would be fun to see Rey, Finn and Poe join the 501st)
