Just an additional comment... the clone models during the Jail scene look different from the models we see later on. They look like they did during the Clone Wars Series. Do you guys think it's possible this scene was meant for The Clone Wars
Anyone else noticing that the plain white Clone Troopers are using the updated model they used for the Phase 1 clones in 'Tales of the Jedi' but the Clone Shock Troopers still use the older 'The Clone Wars' model? They're broader, more angular, with less rounded shoulder armor, kneepads that are closer to the movie versions in that they don't fit together like puzzle pieces with the leg armor plates, and they have textured under suits. I guess since they only show up for a few seconds in one scene, it didn't feel worth it to remake the different pattern on their armor for the updated models, but it is kind of a shame not to have that consistency. But, yeah, I really do love these new clone trooper models and the progression of the art style in general. More detailed and they actually look like they're made up of a bunch of plates stacked on top of each other now. It's a shame we're only ever going to see them in these small snippets in these "Tales" shorts. And I love how while for the most part it still has the same angular stylized look that The Clone Wars is known for, they softened up the faces a bit for it's easier to capture the likeness of specific people and the body proportions on new characters feel a bit less exaggerated. Maybe I'm off base about this part but I feel like they leaned into how Rebels did faces and proportions a bit. I can't help but imagine if this had been what we had gotten to begin with in Season 7 of "The Clone Wars".
Although I will say season 7 did restart the clone wars style animation trend for future star wars animated projects, Disney tried with different styles but when season 7 was green lit and the improved animation did make a huge difference now we wanna watch more star wars with this style
The model seems to have finally been updated. The original Phase 2 Armour from Season 4 of TCW had the arms be as skinny as when the clones were just wearing regular cloths, so now the proportions have been corrected.
Inquisitorial Purge Troopers already existed according to the comics as the last batch of battle-ready clones Kamino produced. How long should we wait to see Clone Paratrooper Armor in TCW animation style?
Very interesting how the Couresant guard new about order 66 ahead of time shows how loyal they were and makes their replacement by tarkin in bad batch baffling

I think Vader would keep any clones under his command around for longer since he cares about military efficiency and knows the Clones are more than willing to get their hands dirty to complete their objective. That and, second to Vader, they’re the best at killing Jedi.

@@masonfong9270 Exactly, that's why I believe these troopers at the fortress were just meant to be equipped with the phase 1 body armour since it is more blaster resistant than the phase 2. Phase 2 armour in general was meant for comfort while in open combat and being able to be more agile when moving fast. That strategy does not apply here, whereas the Phase 1 body armour does.

They are simply updating the phase 2 model. Phase 1 and phase 2 armor are completely indistinguishable from each other visually other than the helmet, so it makes sense that they would look the same. The only reason the shock trooper model didn't get an upgrade is likely because it's more difficult to add all those extra markings than it is to just slap a phase 2 helmet on the preexisting phase 1 body or to just recolor the whole thing in black.
@CloneCommanderCrater1102 I'm aware of all of that but it creates inconsistencies that aren't really needed especially since they aren't updating the armour in any other media
