Can't wait till my MegaPro 17-in-1 Canada Day screwdrivers get delivered. I ordered 4 of them. I'm a bit of a tool hoarder in that regard, but I figured long term I could get use out of all of them if I divide them up into my DeWalt tool bags that I have different tools in. Or keep them in different areas of the house for easy access. I love multi tools and MegaPro seems to be doing a good job with a solid reputation for quality. It might not be German engineered, but I watched a vid of their factory and their quality control on RUclips and am proud of my purchase. The raw materials might come else where but they are built in USA and Canada as far as I know. Damn good screwdrivers. LTT (Linus Tech Tips) partnered with them to build his own screwdriver I believe. After I saw that I knew I needed these tools. My next purchase will be their ratcheting versions (vanilla, and automotive).

Shaft lock is good for use in the food industries so you don't lose bits in the machines during food processing when you can't shut down the line.

Just use a normal screwdriver. When I worked in the food industry you could not use bit sets

According to the MegaPro website their products are:
"Made in North America. Your driver is proudly designed, assembled, inspected, and packed by the Megapro family here in Canada and the USA."
Notice how they omit where their products are MANUFACTURED.

True USA made is during the industrial revolution. Everything is questionable after that era.

I always love the idea/cleverness of this type of drivers. I've picked up a bunch, Wera, Klein, Milwaukee, Duratech, Michigan Industrial tools - (yea, the pre-Tekton name), Lenox, OEM and others I'm sure)
But none of them are a a 'daily driver' for me over the years.
They all have been too clunky, heavy.
The Wera was --- Close, but too wiggly, though it is in my EDC bag. An OEM I have is beautiful to look at with it's green acetate handle, and has Robertson bits and a Schrader valve tool, but heavy; (Cool to see in the sunlight especially though). A Milwaukee - is smooth but way too top heavy.
The closest one is that MIT one which has kinda a right amount of heft, but not too heavy from?? almost 20 years ago. It is a kitchen drawer one which seems to be a great compromise. Bought as an impulse for? $3.99 in I think a NAPA 20+ years ago
I'll still prolly pick up more that catch my eye, but doubt this style will ever be a daily driver.
Hmm I never did pick up the Rollbar one, and that looks really cool-----

If you’re referring to the Rolgear ones, those are nice! Picquic too!

Great review! FYI, the Shaftlok screwdrivers aren't really a new item... But it looks like they're starting to push the marketing on them. I've owned one for about four years and I use it all the time. Mine came with both a 6" and 10" locking extension, so I can turn it in to a 10" or 20" long screwdriver (which comes in handy far more often than you'd think).. As far as durability, I haven't had any issues with the locking mechanisms getting gummed up with dust or debris!

    Hello Auto Bahn Dan
Thank you for another Great Video. I have to admit that I have never heard of Megapro tools. How long have you used these tools, how are they to use on a daily work. In other words, how do they hold up? Again thank you

Thanks! Still haven’t had a chance to use them yet. I’m still working with some Kleins and Wiha’s at the moment..
