it's a given that vocal point is an amazing group. better than some professional a cappella groups. but this is definitely my favorite piece. the guy who wrote this song should make a real, non-acappella production and put it in a christmas album. also, congrats VP for ICCA quarterfinals in Berkeley!

This song is so incredibly powerful. And no other college acapella group matches Vocal Point. The highschool acapella group that im in did a cover of this song and I had the solo and watching this just makes me feel incredibly unworthy. haha the video of is on youtube (He is Born- Cloud Nine (Cover BYU Vocal Point) I know im not great so if you do watch go easy on us lol. But seriously, I remember how moved I was the first time I watched this video and I still am getting the same feeling.
I lost a $10 dollar bet with myself... I was listening on Spotify and this song came on and I thought wow VP doesn't do black leads that's impressive. so I had to look up the song .... yep no they don't but that guy has an awesome voice!
Unfortunately, this particular singer... Ryan Innes... did not record the song. I wish he had! The recording is nice, but it's sweet compared to Ryan's powerful performance of this song. The writer is amazing, but Ryan's performance of it live brought me to tears every time.
ICCA results are inaccurate...if you want to rate BYU's ensembles. They've turned down performing at finals repeatedly because they were slated to compete on Sunday.
