    Those fast operations! I mean the train hits the brake run, and already another train goes up the lift hill before it comes to the first section of brake run. And then another train is dispatched once the train on the final brake run is behind the station. Like that is amazing.

      The operations at Europa Park were outstanding. It wasn't just for this coaster either, all the coasters we rode over our 3 day visit were the same :)

      @noeone2241 4 года назад +1

      All of that works off of what's called synchronization sensors that they build on separate parts of the track throughout the layout. That's how the brakes are able to work efficiently by knowing where the trains are on the track at all times.

    Continuously packs a punch. Best to ride later in the day after it has warmed up. Europa-Park have phenomenal park operations, so queue is never too long.

      I get that everyone has a different perception of long, but Wodan easily hits 50-60 minutes on an average summer day. Pretty long imo.

      @DavidPlant1985 Год назад

      @@MrPatrickbuit Compare that to Disney or any park in the UK and 50mins in the middle of summer isn't bad at all.

    Now this coaster looks very fast and Speedy! With it's whipping curves and sharp fanbank turns. What gets me about these style wooden roller coasters is. We know that wood cannot be bent or curved. So how is that wood cut at corresponding angles with such precision. That once you cut a strip of wooden track like that for so many hundreds of feet. Then connect it all and then lay it out with a coaster train going on it. The ride gives you the illusion that it is just as a steel coaster curving, bending and twisting! The ride effect of these types of wooden coasters is truly a mystery to me!! Very awesome coaster and video! Good work guys!!😎

    My favourite ride at Europa Park: it's the most intense coaster at this park (especially in the evening, the night rides here are nuts!) and the optical apperance of the area, queue and the wooden coaster itself is absolutely gorgeous. The only con is the capacity, lines are typically quite long compared to other coasters at Europa Park, but it's worth!

    • @XtremeCoasters
      @XtremeCoasters  4 года назад +2

      They were managing the lines really well this year. Constant 3 train operations, we waited probably no more than around 20 minutes for any of our rides on it.

    I heard this is the only GCI to use polyurethane wheels on the trains for a more quieter and smooth ride. GCIs themselves are already loud with the steel wheels.

      We love them too :) For the space they had to fit this coaster in, the did do well. A littler longer would have been nice, but it doesn't ruin the overall experience. It's still one of the best coasters in the park.

    How long was the wait times at Europa Park at the time and do you use like a popfilter/windshield on your gopro during the rides?

    • @XtremeCoasters
      @XtremeCoasters  4 года назад +1

      Their operations were so good, most lines were 20-30 minutes max. Some were even shorter. No windshield, putting this onto the GoPro while filming on-ride is potentially something that could come off, so try to avoid attaching anything external to it.

      @@XtremeCoasters Can you do anything at Europa Park in one day or how many days is recommended?

    • @XtremeCoasters
      @XtremeCoasters  4 года назад

      Probably not. We were there for 3 days, but managed to get the majority of the major rides done in 2 days. The 3rd day was used more for filming off-ride footage and riding the smaller attractions.
