These 2 programs need to get their swagger back. In the early and mid 90s these 2 teams were absolutely electric. Fun to watch. You were lucky to get out of these 2 teams arena with a 20pt loss much less an 8pt loss like in this game.
How come college hoop was so much better back then? The ball moved back then. Today it is all high pick and roll and guards barreling to the hoop with 2 guys on them.
Thanks for this, I had forgotten as it gets overshadowed by the return game. #1 vs. #2 in Arkansas, which pretty much shut our entire state down that day. Students camped out in tents for weeks to get front row, churches had live broadcasts of the game, national broadcast, CBS, and we just ran out of gas again. That UNLV team was the best college team ever though.
@@rawn4203 they did win...this same season they went on to win the title. Then they almost won the next year too, they went undefeated but lost in Final 4 to Duke
@@rawn4203 do you even know about college basketball? UNLV smoked Duke in the championship game by 30 points (103-73) which was the largest point loss in championship history.
@ProfessorPsychosis01 What ALWAYS hurt us against UNLV was our lack of size on the frontline. Our backcourt was DEFINITELY BETTER with May-Day. If that May-Day led Razorback team would've had a frontline likes the '94 Razorbacks team, we MOST DEFINITELY would've BEATEN UNLV.
Eh, I don't know about "Definitely better", they may have been slightly better scorers primarily because of Todd Day's height and stats but honestly they were nowhere near Greg and Hunt defensively. LJ was only about 6'6" and Butler and backup posts were all very skinny. Oliver Miller was huge!
@adrock66613 "definitely better?" Yeah...definitely better. "i just watched hunt drop bomb after bomb" Ever ask yourself "how" he got open to do that? Here's a hint: look at the weapons U had down low "the only way your backcourt was DEFINITELY better was in height. skills-wise" Well...duh!!
The best college basketball game played to this date! Hogs vs. Rebs # Classic
These UNLV/Arkansas games were so exciting and fun to watch.
No doubt about it. Arkansas had the horses to run with UNLV on both ends. This was impressive. Thanks for the upload.
I forgot how tough Arkansas was that year. Impressive ballin.,..

No true centers anymore… shit coaches and way too many 3s taken

@@rawn4203 how you figure they never won a championship I belive winning the 1990 final four equals a national championship their bud

@@rawn4203 You have to admit, your post could be worded better.
@@LiLMzSteffy No, "THEY" meaning 1991 (AND ONLY 1991 UNLV) did not.
I'd love to see another home-and-home between these two teams. Hopefully Mike Anderson returns my Hogs back to elite status, I'm confident he can.
Didn't expect to find you here brotha lol

Where can I get the full game?
Who are the announcers here, JB and Packer?
The only reason why Anderson Hunt wasn't in the Nba, because he couldn't handle the ball
