Many years ago I was at Harvard Law. I was friends with a girl who worked at Harvard Med admissions. One day I went to her office to meet her. She had to work late so I sat there and glanced at some of the applications. I was blown away by how accomplished they were. Not only brilliant but amazing research, awards, talents and abilities. Truly outstanding. Quite frankly it made most of my law school colleagues ( or at least me) pale by comparison. Many decades later one of my daughters attended Harvard Dental but their first two years they do the Med School curriculum plus some extra dental classes. She roomed with and is still friends with two of the Med School students both of whom were extraordinary.
Yep, You might be surprised to find out, how many applicants are on the PhD path, just to supplement their Med School Application.. I've heard up to 20%.
I was feeling bad when I visited this hospital and was quite impressed with the level of care given to me during my stay. I recommend them to the local community and thank them for their personal touch.

Im always involved in my clubs but never get picked as a president or vice precident etc because I am not very popular. Correction. Not popular at all. And that stops me from getting elected as a leader in my school. What should I do?
In High School as a senior currently. Your middle school career doesn't matter at all, so don't worry about that. If you can't become the leader of a club you're in, create your own. Create multiple even. Also, since med school is after undergrad, they usually look at your college performance more than anything. As long as you can demonstrate throughout high school that you're highly academically proficient, and a well-rounded student in terms of extracurriculars, your odds of getting into a good school are high. Then it's just staying on top of college from there.

I'm talking from experience, interact with everyone no matter how rude they are, I'm not saying make friends with everyone. I'm saying talk to different people at times. Give them a brief knowledge about you. Dont tell them to much but interact so that they can describe your personality to others.

Its actually 12 years of studying, but 16 years of studying is if you want to be a specialist. 8 years is only if you want to assist in hospitals but it's not a completed procedure. You first go to a medical program for 4 years then you go to medical school for 4 years then another 4 years is added to give you more information so that you're qualified enough.

That’s what I did for PA school and this year I was accepted to 2 schools. I’m 1/4 of the way done now. It’s rough especially since I had been out of college for 5 years but.. I’ll get it with the help of my classmates :)
Ian Stockwell That’s a terrible idea. If you get accepted anywhere, take the acceptance and run.
You can only apply to HMS twice before being automatically rejected. There are so many people ignorant about the admissions process in this comment section.
Really need the help to make that I graduate with a degree nothing else, just a degree
I'm hoping to become an epidemiologist I'm in seventh grade but I am truly trying my best to look and see what universities to go to, my top pick of course so far being Harvard
My blood pressure is always 150 so I need a sedative I can't even feel my chest anymore

YOU DON’T NEED HARVARD TO BE A GREAT DOCTOR.
Respected sir/Ma'am,
After completing MBBS in india... please tell me how to get into hardvard for PG courses with complete student scholarship
What's your options for acceptance in administration
Harvard Medical School Do you keep classes on a Saturday?
Guys please someone provide me with this information
How many years of studying it takes to be a doctor with clarification
Some people tell me 4 at Harvard
Some tell me 3 pre med and 4 =7
Some people tell me 8
Some tell me 10
I’m so confused 🤷♂️🥲
Others tell me 1,5 pre med and 4 =(5,5) 🤷♂️🙄
Its actually 12 years of studying, but 16 years of studying is if you want to be a specialist. 8 years is only if you want to assist in hospitals but it's not a completed procedure. You first go to a medical program for 4 years then you go to medical school for 4 years then another 4 years is added to give you more information so that you're qualified enough.
I love it, " a diverse class in terms of passion"--What? Let's see, diversity in passion--that must mean we need people who are not passionate, at all, so so passionate, very passionate, absolutely nutty in passion", right? Smart Professor, smart.
I think he meant diversity in WHAT people are passionate about. They want applicants who are passionate about medicine, people, and diffident specialities, so they can have a diverse pool of doctors, going into a variety of positions.
That seems a fair comment Feven, correction taken
How can have an access at Harvard school of Medicine?
I really want to be a neurosurgeon, But i don’t know if i can do it
If I don’t get in to Harvard medical or Harvard law I’ll keep trying again and again. I don’t care how old I am. I won’t apply anywhere else as backup. This has been my dream since I was like 5
1:41 exactly which is why I'm planning to pursue a honorary MD-PhD in general medical studies meaning literally nearly every medical specialty that exist I study it and I will be medical school for at least 15 years with my AI as my assistant to speed up the learning processes, my projects are prioritized by my rates of progress

How can any person registration to study at Harvard university?.
Hi everyone i'm french teen actually i'm in high school this is very interesting for my futur but, i think i could not integrate this university because my raport card isn't high and not low just in the middle. So how i can integrat this university and what you think about my situation
Am I at a disadvantage, if my undergrad is in not in an ivy league/prestigious university, despite getting a very high gpa?
Having a prestigious undergrad can be a good aspect, but if you have a high GPA at an instate undergrad, you still have a good chance of getting in.
no, it's all about mcats and gpa and whatever you have going on in your life , someone who has a 3.0 gpa at harvard is nothing compared to a Penn state grad with a 4.0
Are they there to be a Dr.or go to harcard?
It's a business, there are plenty of good medical schools. There's no reason they're any better.
How can you prepare yourself to enter to Harvard?
Start studying, do AP classes or IB, broaden your horizon and volunteer, who wants a doctor who isn't interested in serving people. You have to love learning for it's own sake, if not you won't be able to stay the course. The knowledge has to be it's own reward.
I know it’s hard but I know it’s possible and I really want to get a PhD there.
How about having to take a certain amount of black people for example or asian people even though some other guy is better in everything but you still take the asian or black guy cause you gotta have a certain amounf of these kinda people too?

Any one can tell about online medecal education or shools
are applications only exclusive for american pupils?
"Foreign students who have studied for at least one year at an accredited institution in the United States or Canada, and have completed the requirements, are eligible to apply at HMS." --HMS website
***** What do you mean by undergraduates? Anyone is eligible to apply to HMS as long as you studied for at least one year in a college/university in Canada or the USA.
elle'ya mathers Canadians also.
***** Correct on most parts, except: a lot of schools don't even have prerequisites, nonetheless it is still near impossible to gain acceptance.
***** The University of Calgary for example does not have any sort of prerequisites for their M.D. program, as with a lot of other universities.
Do i have to do 4 years of science to get into medical school in the us (i think its called pre med I’m not sure)

Ps: i’m from saudi arabia so i don’t really know how things work in the us😑 i could use some help !!
After you finish grade 12, you have to finish 4 years of pre-med (undergraduate school) to get into medical school in the U.S. Hope that helps.
