Simply the most handsome guest I could've ever dreamed of -- what an absolute riot we had making the first-ever, in-person Vocal Arts episode! Also, if you're interested in learning how to sing, or improving your singing, Colm and I recommend StudioBrev, the most handsome of all private voice studios! Check it out right here: crm.studiobrev.com/webinar-registration-page-9946-3885?am_id=peter_barber
I'm STOKED that you got Colm McGuinness to your podcast. Your first? What a debut! I love the down-to-earth feel, the conversational and friendly tone, your studio is a perfect balance of visually entertaining yet not distracting, the back and forth questions giving insight into both of you. I love how questions were both personal and regarding craftsmanship in music. It was a good overall experience of two guys sitting down and being personal while touching deeply upon what brought them together. Nice balance. I look forward to following your podcast.
Colm is my absolute favorite artist right now! As a boy I was always obsessed with adventure, and Colm has reignited that spark in me. I am forever grateful. His collaboration arrangement of "Song Of Durin" with Bobby and Jonathan is MASTERFUL. I love his originals as well, "Rambling Home" just as one example of many is listened to nearly every other day. I grew up poor and don't have much but I would love to contribute to Colm with whatever I can spare, how do I do that?? Thank you Peter and Colm for this interview!
@@PeterBarber I've seen some of your other, but there's something deeper about the face to face and the simplicity of ONE camera angle that doesn't change. It makes it all feel more authentic somehow. I hope you get a chance to have many more face to face conversations with the artists you help us get a deeper knowledge about and understanding for.
Love this interview. I really hope the platform of RUclips will be the springboard to your dreams, and I hope my showing up for everything here will support you in getting there. But the piano reveal! :O I thought you'd learned it. Or at least a song! *brain explodes* But how would one hire you as a composer? What does it cost? Because I have a possible project (that I might have to do a Kickstarter for first)
The most actual speaking I've ever heard out of this man is "This accent is really difficult." so getting a full hour of his smooth Dublin voice is just a blessing.
Colm, and Peter yall are amazing!! Colm you are a huge inspiration!! We will NEVER get our fill of you doing shanties. SUNKEN WAS AMAZING!!!! Stay despicably handsome.
Day-um! That was the fastest 90 minutes on RUclips! I got so wrapped up in listening, I totally lost track of the time. So looking forward to the "extended cut"!!
There were several parts of this that had me laughing out loud with headphones on and my family looking over at me like I had lost my mind. Absolutely hysterical! Enjoyed every minute! 👏❤
Aero Smith was my introduction to the rock music world and he still sits at the very top of the list for me. Loved this video! So exciting to learn more about my favorite modern artist 😍
Thank you both that was more fun than any conversation I've ever watched. I love you both more now than ever. I was stunned when I found out he didn't actually know how to play piano.
It'a odd to me to hear people fear flying; as I once was on a plane landing during a thunderstorm over North Carolina, and I was so amazed at parts of the storm lighting up that, I was oblivious to the severe turbulence. The turbulance qas so bad; there were many people screaming, I wasn't worried at all, lol. My niece is like. Column; terified if flying.
Hey everyone where are your views and likes. We have to make these handsome men a couple of yachts! They have to get real rolling experience you know? To improve shantys
Both fabulous singers and you may say you couldn’t sing but when you first started your shanty stuff you could sing plus you always took criticism well even if you didn’t show it but your persistence and will you made it better just by doing something small as singing

@@MerakiPLyhne Thanks so much! Yes it was the 1st in-person podcast I've done -- I have about 50 episodes done virtually so far though

Roll Northumbria. You played the accordion briefly. XD
Crazy to hear Colm's real voice when Ive never heard him speaking before. Glad you two got together

Great to hear Colm’s backstory and why he is where he is now. Also amazing to see that Peter could make it happen👑
Flash forward and Colm returns not to work at said bar but to buy it, and Dad becomes the greeter
I can't wait for this. Colm is my absolute favorite current artist.
You guys need to do a regular podcast. Your banter and craic are spot on. Such a laugh.
We would LOVE to
I'm here for Colm. Love from America! Maybe consider going on tour? :)

Can you imagine sounding like Colm and being like "I couldn't sing" I'm sorry what?????? Absurd lol
Colm is a god damn gem lol
I’m just over halfway through and this has been the most enjoyable interview ever lol
This guy’s career has given me mad hope, I love y’all’s work. Stay discombobulatorarily handsome 🖤

7:00 you guys had me rolling, Colm’s side comments el oh el 😂
Learned a lot about Colm. ❤ This was really interesting 😁
That was wonderful!
Not a lot of youtube videos of over an hour long that I'd watch... but I made an exception for this one.
Excited for the uncut. You guys are awesome 😎
OMG canNOT wait to see the whole thing!
Thank you both that was more fun than any conversation I've ever watched. I love you both more now than ever. I was stunned when I found out he didn't actually know how to play piano.
so looking forward to this!
It sounds like Colm's dad is accusing him of having notions
This guy is my favorite singer
Loved this!!!
#peterbarber for the algorithm. I love the format. This is cool. Keep it up.
Stay diabolically handsome you two!
Oh yes you are both VERY handsome 😉
Did I hear correctly that your little sister's name is Ravenna? Love it. I had always wanted to use that name if I had a daughter.
Finallyyyyy, stay very handsome!

Definitely good fun interview
I have the same 'Up All Night' sticker that I bought in Phoenix!
colm looks bigger than I'd imagined him
Same thought he was like 5’4.
How tall is he?
An Irishman sounding Southern makes sense given the Appalachian accent was greatly influenced by Scotch-Irish settlers.
the Marty Robbins and Jonny cash covers are real good. You can see American country music comes from Ireland
I feel lied to knowing now that you didn’t play the piano for your Hazbin hotel covers Colm!!!🤣🤣🤣

I don't know why but when Colm is talking, he sounds similar to Dawko 😂. Am I the only one who can here it? I definitely am 🤣
before colm there was the english 4 seasons covering the jersey street music in the 50's. They had shows in las Vegas and you tube
Roberto Watero
"SLORM COLM?!"
It’s official… Colm thinks he’s VERY HANDSOME
and he's not wrong tho
@@terrorhuhn9192 your right on that👑🤝
Colm es guapísimo 😭🖤😻
Good choice in whiskey
So I didn't really get one thing, is Colm a baritone with an extended low range or a natural bass? 😅
Baritone
❤️
28:09 - What is THAT look, Peter? :)

Damn, he sounds quite normal for having such a strong bass range and also I didn't know he was Irish 😅
I thought he would sound like Eric Holloway
@@ResoundGuy Maybe not to the point of Eric but I thought he would sound at least similar to Peter 😃
@@MultiKamil97 or like an Irish fella who smokes 3+ packs of cogs
@@MultiKamil97 oops. Cigs
This guy said that Diana Аnkudinowa's voice was a result of digital modulation and I've hated him ever since!!!!!!!!!
I love you
colm has a singer wife?
