Honestly, even tho the members cringe sometimes when they see their old stuff, I have to say, their old stuff has a different kind of value to me and they were so talented even then, but what has changed is that, now they have more confidence in their personalities. So, whenever I see new BTS perform their old songs, I'm absolutely mindblown coz the performances are just as good as before but they're much more confident and they fit the vibes of these songs so well now and they look soooo cool (they did back then too, but to me, now they fit it way more).

Jimin does say “we go hard” in English in the chorus 😂😂 Actually the chorus is one of the main reasons this is my favorite debut track from the tannies: “Whoever has worked as hard as me, throw the first stone. We go hard, we have no fear” Like, not only does the wordplay/reference to the Bible blow my mind (referencing when Jesus told the crowd “he who is without sin cast the first stone”) but also how the line reiterates how hard BTS had to fight to simply debut, not to mention all the years they spent grinding and enduring hate from peers, hip hop industry, kpop industry, etc. before they reached commercial success. And when you combine those two understandings, they’re addressing their haters by saying they only have the right to hate and berate them if they’ve worked as hard as BTS has

I love going back to their older songs. Its very apparent that they were something special even back then! I read recently that in the early days they spent most of their time practicing and monitoring themselves to achieve the synchronization they had. But now because of their individual and collective experience the practicing is less and they are able to rest more. But their choreographer also said that the emphasis in the pas was sharp strong movement and synchronization but now they focus more on bringing out the individual charms and style of each member. But from the very beginning they were very impressive! They were also very diverse because among their very first videos you also have like and just one day! Hope you can do them next!

It's my understanding that they were very relieved when it was decided that only Jimin would show them. So that would suggest that this one was filmed first. This was always one of my favorite MVs. I always loved the raw energy and precision dancing too. It was from 2013, so long ago. When I watch these older videos, I always remember that Suga had an injured shoulder from when he collided with a truck while on his bike doing an after school job. Yeh it’s hard for me to love this jimin bc of him talking about how uncomfortable he was in having to pretend to be an alpha male type of character bc it’s the opposite of who he is…. Knowing that it all kind led to his struggling with having what sounds like an eating disorder and it’s hard to see that in a positive way now. He doesn’t always cringe.. sometimes he can hardly look at it in a way that he looks uncomfortable when other members mention his abs and say that he doesn’t have that anymore … they’re not being mean about it… they always talk about their old selves ya know and they love each other. Since jimin specifically has talked about how hard it was for him… makes it kinda not only see that in these videos. There is a video of them reacting to themselves and him flashing his abs in an interview and they all had cringed at things about themselves and he was too… until that clip and you can tell he’s visibly not comfortable with speaking about it and he keeps looking at whoever is next to him instead of answering so he stays quiet he kinda looks round until someone changes the subject and the only thing he said is that he’s happier with himself now and that’s what matters. Can’t imagine how hard this all was for him…. this and Danger are my faveee choreos from their older stuff. when i first got into them, i watched sooo many people reacting to these 2 dance practices cuz i loved seeing people getting blown away by how hard they go, and how sharp and fast they were, and of course the hat trick at the end. which i am impressed how fast you figured that out! i love hearing the stomping and the squeaks of the shoes in both practices. So explosive!
It's fascinating to watch them perform these same songs nowadays. They are now the cool guys they wanted to be back then and just have a different level of charisma. It's more powerful somehow. I wouldn't say this imagine and style is not them because it is and always will be a part of them, that they originated from. It was the beginning of the process to become who they are today but it doesn't mean they erased that part from themselves completely. Until this day you can still hear that greed , sharpness and parts of that tough image in them. Of course it is evolved ,more mature version of it now but I think it is still a part of who they are and even tho they might think it was a bit forced on them at that time , they still accept it as part of them and their experience of becoming the men they are today.

No Jin wasn't trying to adapt, he hadn't truly found his style. He had just started singing 2 years before. If you listened to their first album the Jin you found later still isn't there, he had to work and develop that voice. His voice was good but nowhere near where he would be two years later and two years later than that. Jimin WAS saying we go hard cause if you looked at the lyrics they are talking about their work ethic and how they attack their performances.
Even though I understand where you're coming from, I still have to respectfully disagree. I don't think you can "find your style" when the style of singing is already predetermined (sounding tough, loads of growling). Even though you can learn different vocal techniques, the singers that I know personally all have a different style that makes their voice shine most. In this song, Jin sounds great, but I think that his voice shines most in ballads (the emotion, the clear sound, the strength, the carried notes). Now, I'm not saying that's how it is, I never pretend to be an expert, I'm simply stating my personal thoughts, so all of this is of course subjective. Also, I did look at the lyrics during my album reaction, but I didn't learn them by heart.

He mentioned that if he worked on specific things to improve TECHNICALLY then for him it changes his "style" Maybe we are talking about two different things when we are talking "style". Take Taehyung for an example: he was a lot more growly in his younger days but he himself said I can't get back to those growl tones anymore when they were going to do Boy In Luv like 3 years ago. Is growling where Jin's voice sits no but they were all doing it for that song. Yes you find the place where you voice shines most and Jin does sing ballads etc much better but what you hear in Bulletproof is basically his speaking tone, he wasn't exactly singing. All of the vocalists don't really "sing" Bulletproof, it's all in a spoken slightly growly tone. We are both just giving our thoughts. I wasn't biting at you about the lyrics. From person who did not interested to sing then now he have very good vocal technique. It proved that vocal technique can be learn. If you want to know how good human can develop vocal technique, you can listen Dimash Kudaibergen who considered by many vocal coach have best vocal technique now.
@@YouandMe14 I think you misunderstood OP's comment. Finding his own style means Jin still hasn't developed his voice at that moment. Jin was still taking vocal lessons at that time. And one of the main challenges for vocalist is to develop their very own good vocal tone which requires a lot of practice and precision. Jin was still in the process of developing his vocal tone. Even if you look at the B-sides of their first or second album even in some slow songs his vocals were very different from what they were in 2015/2016 or now. It's not about the style it's about developing that unique vocal tone.

I’m pretty sure Suga’s headgear is for skiing/snowboarding at night. As for J-hope’s part of the dance break, he mentioned that he practiced that bit so hard his leg/hip bled. As far as the attitude style of the members, specifically Jimin, at the time this was the direction they felt would garner the most interest I think, especially with RM and Suga already having some popularity in underground rap. I also agree with you regarding Jin’s singing, you can tell he had not yet found his niche and was emulating what was presented to him in keeping with the tough guy image they were trying to portray. I finally got a chance to catch up on some of your videos, as always it's so nice to watch your reactions. I really love baby BTS, seeing them now it is so impressive that they really are so versatile and it's so evident how talented, driven and dedicated they were from the very beginning when the odds were stacked against them in the kpop industry. You can tell they believed in themselves and what they were creating, there is a lot of swag in their earliest incarnation when they were trying to prove themselves to all the doubters and naysayers. As a newer fan though, and also one a lot older than they are, in spite of how hard they were trying to be tough I just find them cute, I want to pat them on the head, give them a cookie and tell they they've worked hard, lol.

Definitely a throwback! While I love their older songs I’m still partial to the Wings era and the LY albums because of the depth in the lyrics. However, you can’t really find a bad song throughout any of their discography just diversity and changing as they grow! It’s what makes a BTS so relatable. If I had to pick a song from their first couple of albums it would be NO or Attack on Bangtan (Rise of Bangtan) from their O! RUL8.2? album.

Also, Jimin did not want to do this jump. Hobi convinced him he could that he trusted him. Aww. Jimin nails it every time. Just wow. But Jimin does it because Hobi believes in him and trusts him. Jimin WAS saying we go hard cause if you looked at the lyrics they are talking about their work ethic and how they attack their performances.
Even though I understand where you're coming from, I still have to respectfully disagree. I don't think you can "find your style" when the style of singing is already predetermined (sounding tough, loads of growling). Even though you can learn different vocal techniques, the singers that I know personally all have a different style that makes their voice shine most. In this song, Jin sounds great, but I think that his voice shines most in ballads (the emotion, the clear sound, the strength, the carried notes). Now, I'm not saying that's how it is, I never pretend to be an expert, I'm simply stating my personal thoughts, so all of this is of course subjective. Also, I did look at the lyrics during my album reaction, but I didn't learn them by heart.
@@YouandMe14 If you watch JK talking to Hobi recently he spoke on this. He mentioned that if he worked on specific things to improve TECHNICALLY then for him it changes his "style" Maybe we are talking about two different things when we are talking "style". Take Taehyung for an example: he was a lot more growly in his younger days but he himself said I can't get back to those growl tones anymore when they were going to do Boy In Luv like 3 years ago. Is growling where Jin's voice sits no but they were all doing it for that song. Yes you find the place where you voice shines most and Jin does sing ballads etc much better but what you hear in Bulletproof is basically his speaking tone, he wasn't exactly singing. All of the vocalists don't really "sing" Bulletproof, it's all in a spoken slightly growly tone. We are both just giving our thoughts.
I wasn't biting at you about the lyrics. If it came off like that I'm sorry. I don't remember everything you've seen or listened to so I didn't know if you read them. If you had remembered the context of the song "we go hard" isn't an out of place lyric is what I meant. I don't remember lyrics perfectly either but I tend to remember song ideas and context.
@@ebony7177 The vocal coach of some members of BTS said in youtube's video that Jin's vocal technique improved a lot. From person who did not interested to sing then now he have very good vocal technique. It proved that vocal technique can be learn. If you want to know how good human can develop vocal technique, you can listen Dimash Kudaibergen who considered by many vocal coach have best vocal technique now.
@@YouandMe14 I think you misunderstood OP's comment. Finding his own style means Jin still hasn't developed his voice at that moment. Jin was still taking vocal lessons at that time. And one of the main challenges for vocalist is to develop their very own good vocal tone which requires a lot of practice and precision. Jin was still in the process of developing his vocal tone. Even if you look at the B-sides of their first or second album even in some slow songs his vocals were very different from what they were in 2015/2016 or now. It's not about the style it's about developing that unique vocal tone.
@@anistardi Oh I know he developed, that's why he sounds better year after year. But as I said from what Tae and JK said with technique you can alter your "style" that's all I was talking about. That song really isn't a good one to talk about singing style or technique since they were all basically talking in pitch lol.
This was back In their hip hop days when they were more hip hop sounding.. that’s why they are styled like that
I’m pretty sure Suga’s headgear is for skiing/snowboarding at night. As for J-hope’s part of the dance break, he mentioned that he practiced that bit so hard his leg/hip bled. As far as the attitude style of the members, specifically Jimin, at the time this was the direction they felt would garner the most interest I think, especially with RM and Suga already having some popularity in underground rap. I also agree with you regarding Jin’s singing, you can tell he had not yet found his niche and was emulating what was presented to him in keeping with the tough guy image they were trying to portray. Of course the same could be said for each of the members when you look at their facial expressions, dance style, costumes, etc. Loved your reaction, especially your expression when you saw the first hip roll 😆

I really love baby BTS, seeing them now it is so impressive that they really are so versatile and it's so evident how talented, driven and dedicated they were from the very beginning when the odds were stacked against them in the kpop industry. You can tell they believed in themselves and what they were creating, there is a lot of swag in their earliest incarnation when they were trying to prove themselves to all the doubters and naysayers.
As a newer fan though, and also one a lot older than they are, in spite of how hard they were trying to be tough I just find them cute, I want to pat them on the head, give them a cookie and tell they they've worked hard, lol.

Thanks for the reaction, it’s awesome 💜 Baby BTS has a special place in many of our hearts, they are so young and so cute, yet so driven and so polished - their talent was evident even back then, you can see how serious they were about music, and just how much of their blood, sweat, and tears went into it! Jin, Joon, and Yoongi especially impress me with the choreo as none of them had any dance experience, and none of them had any interest or desire to dance (you could even say that they all were against it 😂) - and look how well they do…

Definitely a throwback! While I love their older songs I’m still partial to the Wings era and the LY albums because of the depth in the lyrics. However, you can’t really find a bad song throughout any of their discography just diversity and changing as they grow! It’s what makes a BTS so relatable.
If I had to pick a song from their first couple of albums it would be NO or Attack on Bangtan (Rise of Bangtan) from their O! RUL8.2? album.

I suggest you watch N.O. It's the mv just after We Are Bulletproof pt 2 and the first mv from their second album. It's a highly political song that critisizes their current education system that causes many youngsters to choose suicide because of the pressure. Both the song and the mv are so good!
