I really enjoyed your video. I was definitely thinking of getting the Deathwatch helmet but where I live it would take 2 weeks to get here and it was 30€ more than the re-armored Boba Fett helmet. I wasn't sure if they were 1 to 1 the same but thankfully your video was very helpful and I just bought the Boba Fett helmet. Thank you.
I definitely think the black series Boba one is the best of the 3. They nailed the right colour for it too. In my opinion it looks the closest to the one used in the OT. Great video!
So I would say, yes. The color on the Black Series is a bit lighter, and I reference that during the video. The original colors that were used during production have long been discontinued. However, if you were using spray paints, Rustoleum Spruce Green would be a good base to start from. It goes on fairly light at first, but darkens up after all of the weathering is done on the helmet. Ultimately, I would have to agree with you that the on screen helmet appeared to be a darker shade on the dome and outer cheeks. A light misting on the Black Series would help to darken it up a bit.
@V509 Cassiopeiae Honestly, I like them both. I'm not too critical when it comes to that, and I think that a really nice costume and armor can be made from both colors.
The Black Series helmets have been getting better and better with each new release in my opinion. Up until recently, I only had Kylo Ren and that had to be heavily modified. To be honest, other than their Darth Vader, I wasn't even aware that others had been released. Many people had issues with the Vader helmets accuracy, so I wasn't optimistic about any further releases. Apparently, their original Stormtrooper helmet was also not without issues. But, I've been very pleasantly surprised, especially after watching countless youtube videos which convinced me that I needed to take another look at the Black Series. I now have their two First Order Stormtrooper helmets and the Mandalorian and have to say that all three are incredible. They really are stunning helmets, especially when you consider how much cheaper they are than the Annovos ones. I've even heard one reviewer say that he preferred his Black Series Mando helmet to his Annovos one. Hopefully Hasbro will release further Star Wars helmets (Sith Trooper? Death Trooper? Imperial Gunner?)

wtf the black series boba fett helmet just has the completely different colour!! the colour is wayyy darker than the helmet in the movie!! its less green and mabye you like it more that way but truth is that its just the wrong colour!! it should be GREEN and not dark grey-greenish

Watching in Jan, 2022. I am with the Mando merc costume club and they allow the Black series helmets for approval. If you are using a Boba Fett helmet for an OC you do need to fill the dent but other than that they can and will be approved.
Black series has heritage as a laser scan of the movie used helmet which is absolutely unbelievable for the price. It's not perfect for like 501st approval or something exceptionally stringent like that but it's more than close enough for literally anything else

So, my jam is to buy a deathwatch ($147 NZD) and custom paint it to be boba fett. ($288 NZD) which will look like a movie prop= Olive drab for that matt ESB look the black series boba nails..
Got a death watch helmet to repaint boba fett. I need the real colors of the real movie helmet and what area these colors are. Putting the dent will be easy. I have a heat gun and a golf ball to use.

The top part of the T visor on the Black Series helmets is a little wider than the other two.
