I very much relate to not being this connected with common behavior and conventions of society, up to the point I'm still single in my 40s and not planning to change that anytime soon. But I think we are conscious people with our own destiny, and we are needed in a different way. Making peace with that solved so many issues I have been dealing with since childhood. Dereck, you have a calming, Orson Wells-type quality to your speaking voice. There are other record collection type channels i listen to, but this one is unique. Not sure if anyone has ever mentioned this to you, but your voice would be great for narration of some kind. Audio book, spoken word, voice acting. The buoyant cordial transfer of power to “Hitler” by the guy who found it “hurtful” to be called out for working with segregationists is difficult to parse out. Hunter Muskett was a very interesting listen - glad to have your recs. ✌️

Ive been tuned out for a while on everything. Tim Leary wasnt right about everything, but i always like his “Drop Out” notion. Turn on and tune in is great too. But turning off society for a while can be good for the soul, and sometimes totally necessary.
Keep your head up Dereck, and keep talking about it. This appalling re election will have negative ramifications every where and these conversations are important. i hope you have a good Monday.

Listening to the album Low by Bowie. The second side pretty much sums up my mood this week. Not just dark but bleak.
