Im gonna pull a quote from Halo's Grunts: "Run away!!! Run tf away!!!!" That's how beginner fhorn players feel about high notes (ive been playin for a year and a half now)
@@french7515 yep. I picked up horn after playing euphonium for six/seven years in 2020 and I became comfortable with B flat above the staff within about three months of practice

Nice arrangement! I'm sure it sounds even nicer live. But no rest in the 1st trumpet part? Not a good idea to make the most physically taxing instrument play all the time.
It certainly is in a brass quintet. Highest tessitura and most demand to lead. The arrangement would be ok in a single performance, but not great for an hour long set
Not sure how lead trumpet is more taxing than fhorn high notes, but i cant play straight above the first above staff G on trumpet sooo idk. I play trumpet and fhorn, and i think horn is more difficult to play than trumpet
@@ricerice8940 I think that horn is harder to get good at but I don't think it's more taxing. I have a good range on both instruments (I'm not good at horn but I've been thrown on it a few concerts) and range isn't the hardest part of horn
@@TaKKun1123 another lead trumpet player here, trumpet is the most taxing/hardest brass instrument to play cause how much you can physically hurt yourself, like busting your lip or going so high you pass out *happened to me before* it’s one if not the most damaging instrument to play.
Usually horns are keyed in F .. Euphoniums usually are Bb .. 7 chromatic half steps I think .. I switched from trumpet to baritone and found treble clef so much easier to read cause it stays in the staff usually more often than bass clef.. Key signature is the next headache beyond that.. I used to play mostly horn stuff when practicing cause it was generally more enjoyable to play..

0:47 smoothest trombone slide known to mankind
I really like the last two measures. I'm glad even the tuba gets a cool solo.
Agree
that horn solo at 1:06 gives me life
Any Horn solo gives me life
Taking it up an octave changes the style in a beautiful way
3:01 best part
The trombone part for this is 🔥🔥
Its a bit too high i think
Wow nice arrangement. Every part had some fun and I liked that surprise at the end. I bet this would sound sooo much better live
Yeah wait till you play high notes on French horn. That is a true pain

Trombone soundfont? Most soundfonts for trombone are garbage but I want to know what this one is. lol.
The sound front for the trumpet is GARBAGE!!!!
Hey cousin! It's Jay! I didn't know you transposed music! That's awesome. If you ever need any percussion to go with these let me know!
I play the Trumpet but I want to play french horn one day I love the French Horn it sounds so nice
I do now
I play trombone and I am surprised it actually got harmony voice

Frank Stroup As a trumpet player, I agree with getting some rests. I don't know that it's the "most" taxing though.

@Reese Blaskowski Hey Reese. I recently purchased your Dream On arrangement. Can I get the trombone and tuba parts in treble Bb?
It's the same if i put an euphonium treble clef instead of a horn?

Because brass is superior

32nds are a no no for me XD
Dominic Bartuccio it's at a slow tempo, so there isn't much to worry about.
Where are the 32nds? Not trying to be rude, but I can only find 16ths, and I'm kinda curious if there actually are 32nds that I missed.

Dominic Bartuccio Those are 16ths with a 8th note
