I believe this is one of the greatest music video's out there. ~The blue represents sorrow, self-doubt, feeling like you're fighting yourself and for some people maybe even a sense of numbness. ~The yellow represents the 'calmer' side. It influences the 'positive' emotions. ~The red represents aggression, tension, annoyance. ~Then finally the black represents acceptance. We accept these emotions because it's what makes us human, and if you noticed the more the color, the stronger the emotion.
Lyrics: If I'm your salvation Welcome to hell If you're looking to me I must confess You're like an answer, lost deep In loneliness I'm just a question I'm just full of passion You aim and you miss If we keep fighting who we are We won't hit anything It's like stabbing in the dark Stabbing in the dark It's like I feel too much, feel too much But I can't find my heart It's like I'm stabbing in the dark Stabbing in the dark It's like I think too much, think too much And then I fall apart Like stabbing in the dark Eyes set on me Like I'm an answer Just a question you missed A complete disaster Just a person Probably the worst one Loose-lipped and shoulders chipped If we keep fighting who we are We won't hit anything It's like stabbing in the dark Stabbing in the dark It's like I feel too much, feel too much But I can't find my heart It's like I'm stabbing in the dark Stabbing in the dark It's like I think too much, think too much And then I fall apart Still, I'm here I'm singing for you Still, I'm here I'm singing for you It's like stabbing in the dark Stabbing in the dark It's like I feel too much, feel too much But I can't find my heart It's like I'm stabbing in the dark Stabbing in the dark It's like I think too much, think too much And then I fall apart Like stabbing in the dark I'm singing for you Still, I'm here I'm singing for you But I can't find my hea-... wow
I believe this video is used to represent all of our emotions by color, or at least the primary ones. Craig sings, "It's like I feel to much, feel to much, but I can't find my heart." As humans, we all feel a ton of emotions at the same time. I believe that this song is about feeling so many things at one time and it being difficult to figure out who you are, or what you are about because of all the different things going on in your brain. This is my favorite song ever and always will be.
Absolutely adore this video, the man is phenomenal and, in relation to what ElektrikHarmoney has written, I completely agree, and also, with the last few seconds, there's a glimpse of the blue within his eyes, which to me, shows that even if you do accept yourself there's still that little bit of self doubt and unease with yourself. I think if the most confident and happy person in the world will still feel a sense of unhappiness, either with themselves or the world. It's a wonderful video. c:
This video represents how our world is without emotions, its gray. The blue represents sorrow and anxiety. Yellow is contemptment and happiness while red represents anger. The black however shows acceptance, that you should embrace these emotions because without them, our world is just like an emotionless blank page within a book...
I truly think this song can apply to Craig being bipolar. Cause this video shows a man going through different colors and emotions, kind of like you do when you are bipolar. This is my favorite song on the album, it makes you feel like oh, someone understands.
@SheiSPipi93 Yeaah! That's what I love about the live version, there's no autotune/processing obviously, and it just sounds like it has more emotion to it.
@MrSquires94 It is actually an amazing video. It subliminally depicts how as humans we have no colour, we are simply black and white. It then goes to show how our emotions bring out the colours in ourselves and in the world around us. Blue is sadness or embarrassment, Yellow is happiness or excitement, and Red is anger or aggression.
@SheiSPipi93 I preordered the special version on iTunes but I'm conveniently having iTunes troubles the day of the album release... but I've already heard like half of the songs. I just want to hear the rest, though! I can't wait until AP tour.
Blue represents Craig's extreme passionate bouts of sadness. Yellow represents Craig's "normal" side Red represents Craig's extreme passionate bouts of anger. Black and White/Zebra represents Craig coming to terms with all these different aspects of himself and realizing that they're what makes him him.
i clicked this back in the day and thought it had to do with Kratos the God of War, im glad i clicked cuz i found an amazing band...too bad they departed :(
@SheiSPipi93 In the chorus here it's like "stabbing in the dark. stabbing in the dark," like all choppy and stuff, but in the live version Craig says "Stabbing in the dark" and then Matt sings "stabbing in the dark" as backups. . Idk, it sounds better. And at the end of the chorus, Craig sings "like stabbing in the dark", but live he slows it down and screams. Search "stabbing in the dark live nyc" and listen. They're little changes, but they make a big difference to me
@alallin Yeah the song names for "Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm" and "Laminated E.T. Animal" are both palindromes. They are geniuses for coming up with that.
@kittycatwindow So at the first place the title of the song was Stabbing In The Dark? I like both versions though but the live version seems got a little more expression,I mean the screamo thing :D
Craig suffers from bipolar depression, its a mental disorder alike schizophrenia. The medecine u take to dim the depression and the comming psychosis makes ur feelings jump up and down and when u take have been taking this medecine for a long time, u stoop feeling emotions and mix happyness with sadness etc. My grandfather suffered from this and so did my uncle, they both killed themselves.. Sorry for my bad english but I just felt I should explain to you who wonder
I LOVE EVERYYY FUCKING TUNEE !!!!!!!!! i would love this to be a single :D this video is amazing, would love the see an official music video toooo :) LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!! rock music has been missing something like D.R.U.G.S. for far tooooo long, and its only fitting they have there album produced by the man who produced my favourite record of alll time The Used by The Used
im readying all the comments and most of them say that the song is amazing but very few say how weird the video is i mean cmon the video is weird but yes this song is amazing
Most people don't realize the title says the same thing when you read it back wards.. 👍🏼
Actually most people do, just like mr owl ate my metal worm
Whaaaaaaat! *mind blown*
Ow shit

The beginning is just so perfect. That intro scream.
Lyrics:
If I'm your salvation
Welcome to hell
If you're looking to me
I must confess
You're like an answer, lost deep
In loneliness

I'm just full of passion

Stabbing in the dark
It's like I think too much, think too much
And then I fall apart
Like stabbing in the dark
Eyes set on me
Like I'm an answer
Just a question you missed
A complete disaster
Just a person
Probably the worst one
Loose-lipped and shoulders chipped
If we keep fighting who we are
We won't hit anything
It's like stabbing in the dark
Stabbing in the dark
It's like I feel too much, feel too much
But I can't find my heart
It's like I'm stabbing in the dark
Stabbing in the dark
It's like I think too much, think too much
And then I fall apart
Still, I'm here
I'm singing for you
Still, I'm here
I'm singing for you
It's like stabbing in the dark
Stabbing in the dark

God, such an iconic, creative, and memorable visual for a song. I just love it. Let’s show DRUGS’ new song Destiny some love cuz it rocks hard
once of the very few bands where every song in the album is amazing

i really give a lot of credit to this actor
This has to be my favorite track on the album
I remember this song from one of the first videos craig put out. at that point i could not wait for it. so glad to finally hear it
Still one of the greatest projects in all of hardcore punk and emocore combined. I am still speechless at listening to this album.
"So, all you have to do is make weird faces after we put paint on your face"
This music video made my head explode.
I'm really digging these lyrics! Craig is a fantastic lyricist.
This video represents how our world is without emotions, its gray.
The blue represents sorrow and anxiety.
Yellow is contemptment and happiness
while red represents anger.
The black however shows acceptance, that you should embrace these emotions because without them, our world is just like an emotionless blank page within a book...

I just saw them on AP Tour and they were even better live. :) I hugged all the band members but Craig Owens. :)
Finally a chorus up to par with Mr. Owl and Sex Life...was getting tired of NOT hearing him do those crazy high notes!
i will always love D.R.U.G.S.
Calm down, Kratos
I lost my drugs shirt with mcgruff. R.i.p best band tee of all time. I'd bring that shit back
This Song Gives Me The Chills. Thats When You Know It's TRUE MUSIC! I Guess The 2 People Who Disliked This Song, Never Had An Eargasm!
@SheiSPipi93 Yeaah! That's what I love about the live version, there's no autotune/processing obviously, and it just sounds like it has more emotion to it.
each song i've heard is catchy as hell, loving everything about this band so far :D
Favourite song of theirs. Love the lyrics
I'm seriously in love with this song.
@MrSquires94 It is actually an amazing video. It subliminally depicts how as humans we have no colour, we are simply black and white. you know a band's your favourite when you love every fucking song!!
Best song I've heard from the cd so far.
Blue represents Craig's extreme passionate bouts of sadness.
Yellow represents Craig's "normal" side
Red represents Craig's extreme passionate bouts of anger.
Black and White/Zebra represents Craig coming to terms with all these different aspects of himself and realizing that they're what makes him him.
@MRxAmazing its not a music video... its just an album review video, as stated in the title. Theyre just to promote the album not major productions.
the first time i watched this video i was just like wth but the more i watch it i find its quite beautiful
the colors represent emotion and the song lyrics are about feelings
i think its very interesting
I'm so glad i saw them before that happened!!!
Oh my god, this song is amazing
I found this beautiful
Whover helped me read this, thanks so much!
So, I'm guessing the point to this video is reenacting particular emotions? Some resemble animals to me. I love this video.

i clicked this back in the day and thought it had to do with Kratos the God of War, im glad i clicked cuz i found an amazing band...too bad they departed :(

It's the new Avatar!!!! He's undecided about what element he wants to be.
@AllthatremainsMV Their song Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm is the same way.
@kittycatwindow yep. they're all good. awesome album!
@Synthettica and what about black? what does it means the last part with black? a mixture of emotions?
Wish they didn't break up.

i read that this song was about Craig's battle with being bi-polar
@kittycatwindow So at the first place the title of the song was Stabbing In The Dark? I like both versions though but the live version seems got a little more expression,I mean the screamo thing :D
@kittycatwindow how is it different from the live version?
@RadarAlwaysOn YEAH MAN!
