5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' & 34067 'Tangmere' Ascend Shap 16/03/2024

Here we see 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' and 34067 'Tangmere' hauling excursions on the West Coast Mainline on Saturday 16/03/2024.
The Castle was on a working from Birmingham, and the Bulleid Light Pacific was on the Cumbrian Mountain Express from London, which ran back via the S&C. Both locomotives were attached to their trains at Carnforth, with 5043 having ran up the previous day from Tyseley.
Both locomotives are seen climbing past Shap Wells, and the Castle is also seen on the return leg past Low Gill.
