Yes the independence cause has been lost within the SNP and comes as no surprise giving their last few years have been run by the Green party and has proved to be an absolute disaster for the SNP. However, in spite of all that the cause for Independence remains resolute within the grassroots movement and will never go away, all it needs is a government to get it underway.
