Cornette is a meticulous record keeper. The stories may mostly be slanted in his favor but his recollection and study of wrestling history is top notch

Smoky Mountain Wrestling never got a sponsorship deal like that or even offered one like Tim Horner claimed and you can't believe Tim Horner if his tongue was notorized either. Jim Cornette was not kidding when he said that he'd have the entire staff and ring crew look like Coke bottles if they had gotten a deal like that. The entire ring would also have those colors too if that had happened. Back then, Jim Cornette believed that the 1970's wrestling would still get over and it wasn't. People wanted more of the flashy sports entertainment than the gritty form of pro wrestling from the 70's & 80's.
Cornette has the best skill of irritating tf out of me. I don't want to hear his political bs, I want a escape via wrestling

Tim Horner...He had his talents in the Ring.....but he was bland. If this guy ever drew a dime, I'd be surprised. He was never willing to really step things up, to where he could be a top draw. Whatever. He was a solid Wrestler, but I think that that's all I can say about him, that would be positive.
God Horner looks 10x worse than he did in the day. And trust me that’s hard to do.
Gotta love corporate censorship. The Gangstas were the only ones in wrestling besides Pillman at the time telling the truth in wrestling and vaguely “shooting.” Nobody likes to hear the truth about themselves and New Jack was excellent at telling white southern people the truth about themselves that they refuse to this day to confront. I’m white so I know that living in denial is the whitest thing ever. We did some really horrible, inhumane and psychopathic things to a lot of innocent people and many of us still do. New Jack wasn’t afraid to call people out. Crazy? I’d be crazy if I were black in America. PTSD like crazy. You can’t push someone forever and expect them not to push back just as hard. And the fact that they were portrayed as criminals and “Gangstas” is pretty racist from where I’m standing. They were the heroes. The audience were the heels.

I just wish Bobby Heenan could have lived long enough, and retained his health, to get into podcasts.
Not only would he have had his own hit show, he would also have been the most in demand guest for everyone else’s shows too.
I know Cornette, on the podcast where he paid tribute to Bobby Heenan, after he died, lamented on the fact that they didn’t get the chance to work with each other more, when Bobby got out of wrestling, due to his recurring health problems. Jim said how perfectly suited the Brain would have been to podcasting.
I’ve heard Cornette say they had planned on working together more, just when Bobby’s health began to deteriorate more.
That’s such a damn shame.
We got glimpses of how good they would have been together, when they did a shoot interview together: where Cornette sort of interviewed Heenan, and they told each other stories about their careers.
But, all these glimpses do, is show us just what we missed out on, because of that cunt throat cancer.
Someone else who would have been perfect for podcasting: William Moody-aka Percy Pringle, aka Paul Bearer!
Again, we got a glimpse of him and Cornette working together, on a similar shoot interview as the one Jim did with Bobby Heenan: where it was sort of an interview, but, since they were friends, it ended up being a relaxed chat, where they told each other stories, about their time in wrestling.
If anyone hasn’t seen these interviews, I highly recommend both of them: I think they were done through Ring of Honour, back in early-to-mid 2000’s, though I’m not 100% positive.
Jim needs to a podcast started for Holla, Holla, Holla Mr. Teddy Long.
