@@BeckandBeyond Great news, I did after 3 weeks I was able to stop the medication. I should have added, Gluten free as moved on a great deal in the last few years, for me most stuff was disgusting, expensive and above all a great deal more calorific, which was the ultimate no no. xx

Hi Becky, I`ve been gluten free for 30 years. I would recommend Nature`s Path Mesa flakes (basically gluten free corn flakes). Also Sainsbury`s free from fruity muesli. The best I`ve found. I have it with Alpro soya milk rather than cows milk. The best bread I`ve found is Schar wholesome seeded loaf. I`ve tried all the gluten free breads and some are like eating cardboard but not Schar. Also for biscuits I prefer Sainsbury`s Jammy Wheels. I find that Sainsbury`s have by far the best range of gluten free foods.
Yay Becky, thanks for your vlog I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, would love to see more ,baking, shopping, gardening, everyday stuff I suppose, iv watched you since james gave you a mention and hope you continue.

My boss is coeliac and you are lucky there's so much gf stuff around now. For years he got his bread on prescription and it came in a tin! You can get gf pizza at Domino's and Pizza hut now for comparison! Saw another comment about buying short life gf bread and freezing it - that's a good idea. I believe that you should get a bread making machine for your bread, and I'm also told a good flatbread recipe is easy and quick to make, and versatile.
I have celiac disease for over a year now got told to start gluten free one week before Christmas and I'm not a lover of the changes I have to watch drinks when out and when I want a beer its its like £6.20 a bottle and bread I pay £2.30 and cereal £2.70 - £3.20 it's so expensive having the disease, I get lots of pains if I cheat where as my brother he can and don't get the pains. Good luck on your journey.
Not Good News on the Celiac front but Good News on the Jaffa cakes and shortbread. You’ll learn to live with it I was the same when I was diagnosed with Diabetes but you have to live with the cards you’re dealt and I’m sure you will especially with help you’ll get from the family and keep pushing out those videos. Brian & Helen.
I once had a gluten- free portion of potato scallops made with gluten free batter, the batter was so hard it snapped like glass when you bit into to it!😳
It's the way that we eat and choose our foods over the years, I guess it's just being more aware of what you eat from time to time, like you I love my biscuits to go with a coffee , it's hard when you walk down those aisles in the supermarket 😂😂👍
Do you know I bought this eyeshadow at Aldi 🙈 it's the Lacura quad eyeshadow palette in Perfect Nude, I believe it is a copy of Charlotte Tilburys pillow talk quad. Aldi don't always have them in store but you can get them on Ebay (albeit) a little more expensive. X
It sounds like you had a biscuit overdose and lost the car. What a massive change to your life, you have taken it all in your stride as normal. Such a positive outlook from a stunning lady x
Hi rebecca i have just been watching james and helen pigging out at fortnum and masons. Sorry to hear about your problem cant spell that word. Nice looking at them deer the aldi cameras seem to work very well i am an aldi fan too hope you are well ❤❤😊😊
An orchard would be great, though. Have you thought of building a walled garden with barbed wire on top? My message to the deer: you naughtybears; eating up all the fruit trees.
You are in "mourning", it will pass. My friend makes the best cheesecake with almond meal. It is her staple, and she gets the almonds directly from the grower. Hope you have a great journey in learning "how to". ❤🇦🇺
I enjoyed your chat today and you did make me smile , yes it’s cardboard 😂, We had a problem a while ago and tried gluten free stuff, it was when my daughter was pregnant so I did it with her for support…… not only expensive but like bloody cardboard ( as you say)…..babies are now here so we’ve all back to normal food, thank goodness as I couldn’t afford it 😮 I love your kitchen …. Why did you have to use parchment paper? I’m not a very good cook in fact I don’t do much of it now that kids have left home…….I may try that recipe though . I thought yours like quite professional, I love shortbread , my fave . That footage of wildlife was amazing…… you know , even though I lived in Norfolk and bought up on a farm , I have never seen a badger 😂I have fomo now!!! Looking forward to seeing the next one , you are doing great 😊👍 Cheers from Jude
Jude I have no idea why I needed parchment! 🤷🏼♀️ it felt very wrong and awkward!! I don't think I've ever seen a badger other than on camera or sadly dead. X
Love a Jaffa Cake. That old conundrum.. are they a biscuit or a cake? This is one of the bigger existential questions that keep me up at night. 😁 Doing a great job Beck.
Oh no......but, you'll find things you can eat and you can learn to bake. You'll have to look for gluten free beer as well. America's Test Kitchen has a wonderful cookbook called, How Can It Be Gluten Free, vol. 2. You can make up your own container of gluten free flour mix to have ready when you need flour to bake(this is what I do). Feeling better will be your reward for going gluten free. Love the widlife video, very cool! Hang in there Becky.
I am thinking about getting more tests. However the difference in how I feel in just 3 weeks of gluten makes me thinks it's worth sticking with it anyway! X
Some people have a sensitivity to gluten; they may feel better without. However, people with coeliac disease have an allergy to gluten. Their gut cannot digest gluten. k@@kitchenworker446
I think the taste of gluten free ready meals has improved over the last 5 years, it used to be very slim pickings. Then the Amy's brand stopped selling during the pandemic, leaving not much else in my local shops. Schar can be expensive, like all gluten free stuff, but to their credit are equally good.
Hi Becky ....great vlog mate ...you're a natural 😊 Yes I can never understand with gluten free how they take something out and it costs more and tastes worse!! The whole industry is a con...£1 ready meals and £8 organic ones and then complaining about heart issues, diabetes etc.....you'd almost think they wanted to make you ill 🤧🤒🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Those game cameras are very cheap compared with many you can buy now ....some use a SIM card and alert you when something trips the sensor and sends you a pic / vid direct to your phone ... Very clever .. Q. What car do you drive ...I can't work it out by the seats or interior ..? Keep up the great work Gary and Jane 🦉🦉
Hi, I drive a Kia Sportage currently I frequently change 😆 These cameras also use sim cards but are not as advanced as sending notifications although the amount of squirrel videos we get it could become annoying 🤣🤣
Really daft question, did the consultant say why he said his diagnosis was positive yet the other test was negative? Consultants only read what is in front of them and do make mistakes. From personal experience a second opinion may be called for. Love your channel style btw.
I ticked 2 of the 3 boxes for a formal diagnosis, the 3rd was damage to my intestines which he said would happen taking into account my other results so I had the option of nipping it in the bud or continue eating normally until the damage occurs which was a no brainer for me. I do feel better for cutting it out. But it's all very confusing! X
sorry about your condition you will nail it i know what its like (I have to watch sugar and fat intake) , that was great a bit of everything your one of the best i watch , keep it up, hope you get your diet sorted
This made me laugh so much……………in a good way 😂😂😂 luckily gluten free products are more available these days, but you are right….hike the price up ⬆️ It’s the same with, go organic, save the planet 🌎 but it will cost you twice as much !!!! The shortbread looked good 👍🏽
My granddaughter is celiac, she came to stay for a couple of weeks so had a try of some of her food (disgusting ) as you say everything taste like cardboard..wait till you get to the pasta ! Good luck to your parents ... wonder how long you will last on it Becky ? Stop apologizing, it must run in the family 🤣🤣 Wow the wildlife that you captured was amazing !!!
I was diagnosed with celiac from a young age. I believe I was on a diet at the time, but I ate and still do, with no health issues throughout my adult life. Hardly ever go to the doctors (I think I've been twice, as an adult at least). I'm 58, so don't fret. If you've not had any health issues relating to celiac, I don't see it being a problem. Be careful when taking advice from consultants who rely on you for profit. All the best to you, Dave
Becky check out symprove,I'm still waiting for the 3foot hat photo. Keep up the vlogs, james did a brilliant intro in london minutes in toe tapping slow motion a work of cinematic master piece don't tell him i told you.humming & haring or rrring.?..
Haha I forgot about that photo I must dig it out!! James intro was awesome!! I'm so impressed with his editing although his video tonight he say has zero editing so we shall see the difference. X
Gluten intolerance/coeliac is not the end of the world, I find fasting really good for giving the gut time to heal so it's good you already do that. My advice would be to avoid all those "gluten free" labelled foods in the shops, they're just ultra processed rubbish. Stick to naturally gluten free grain alternatives like good quality rye bread, rice, quinoa, oats if you can tolerate them. Best of luck with it👍
Thankyou, yes I'm trying to avoid the 'free from' Isles however for someone who doesn't like supermarkets I'm now spending soo much time in them reading labels 🙄 x
Mixed test results and no symptoms? You’re going gluten free because? Not being funny Becky, but I think Coeliac disease is over diagnosed. You’re making a big lifestyle change, to maybe prevent complications from a condition you might have. Again, I’m not saying this to be horrible. You seem a lovely person. Obviously very intelligent. Do some research, get more opinions.
I couldn't agree more with what you've said especially it being over diagnosed, I had a long discussion with my consultant who believes my intestines becoming damaged is inevitable, my family members don't have symptoms either but now have osteoporosis from gluten fortunately I am 20 years younger, it's such a mine field now and really confusing, however I feel lighter, more alert and less fatigued just after a few weeks so it's worth it just for that I suppose. X
@@BeckandBeyond if you're feeling better on a gluten free diet, then definitely go for it. I didn't realise about the osteoporosis, so there is some diagnosis of complications from Coeliac in your family. Apologies for that. I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet at the moment about misdiagnosis. Someone I know has been told their child is on the spectrum of autism. I asked what were the symptoms. They said he only seems to focus on his phone all the time. I said all children are autistic then 🙄 I'm glad you're feeling better Becky.

Ah the cheeky painting 😁🤦♀️ definitely not me!
Talk about a glamorous baker.
Thankyou xx
Air fryers are wonderful….but if i was buying one now i would buy a ninja double..a single is a bit constraining..
Yeah mine is a double too I agree a single would be restrictive! They are brilliant aren't they!! Xx
@@BeckandBeyond chip butty 10 minutes….dreamland..
Oof! I think I'b be going for a second opinion Ah Becky...contradictory diagnosis from two differing sources...I'd be like " well who is right?"
Definitely get a second opinion!
Loose stools is one symptom as well as others!
@@kitchenworker446 2nd and 3rd opinion.,not sure about the 4th..
I am thinking about getting more tests. However the difference in how I feel in just 3 weeks of gluten makes me thinks it's worth sticking with it anyway! X
@@BeckandBeyond Yes agreed, I do have a friend who is not ceoliac, but cannot eat wheat products...
Some people have a sensitivity to gluten; they may feel better without. However, people with coeliac disease have an allergy to gluten. Their gut cannot digest gluten. k@@kitchenworker446
Your vids are great Becky! I love your dress where is it from ❤
Thankyou, it's a Zara (on sale at the moment) x
@@BeckandBeyond thanks x
My gluten free sister!!! Tried the M&S bread yet? I haven't xx
Not yet to be honest I'm not missing bread at the moment but sure that will change and I'll be off to M&S
@@BeckandBeyond you're a better person than me haha xx
I think the taste of gluten free ready meals has improved over the last 5 years, it used to be very slim pickings. Then the Amy's brand stopped selling during the pandemic, leaving not much else in my local shops. Schar can be expensive, like all gluten free stuff, but to their credit are equally good.
Yes the Schar I've had are good but as you say pricey!! I'm thankful I wasn't diagnosed 20 years ago!!
❤ positive outlook achieved alot myself through diet and healthy food ❤
Absolutely!! Always be positive x
Brilliant Bec
Thankyou x
❤😊
Hi Becky ....great vlog mate ...you're a natural 😊
Yes I can never understand with gluten free how they take something out and it costs more and tastes worse!! The whole industry is a con...£1 ready meals and £8 organic ones and then complaining about heart issues, diabetes etc.....you'd almost think they wanted to make you ill 🤧🤒🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Those game cameras are very cheap compared with many you can buy now ....some use a SIM card and alert you when something trips the sensor and sends you a pic / vid direct to your phone ...
Very clever ..
Q. What car do you drive ...I can't work it out by the seats or interior ..?
Keep up the great work
Gary and Jane 🦉🦉
Hi, I drive a Kia Sportage currently I frequently change 😆
These cameras also use sim cards but are not as advanced as sending notifications although the amount of squirrel videos we get it could become annoying 🤣🤣
😎👍
Is that a picture of you to your left?
It isn't no x
Thankyou so much x
0:09 morning Becks
😁 morning!
@@BeckandBeyond hope ya having fun VLogging. You look like you’re enjoying it. Keep going and don’t listen to the riff raff in these rooms.
This made me laugh so much……………in a good way 😂😂😂 luckily gluten free products are more available these days, but you are right….hike the price up ⬆️ It’s the same with, go organic, save the planet 🌎 but it will cost you twice as much !!!! The shortbread looked good 👍🏽
It crazy isn't it!! But definitely easier now than it was 10 years ago! X
I tried chickpea pasta last night 🙈 it was not good!! Xx
*I ate normally and still do.
Thanks Dave, I do think it's a much healthier way of life, I'm kind of looking forward to it and eating more fresh produce. X
Good luck on your GF journey.
Becky check out symprove,I'm still waiting for the 3foot hat photo. Keep up the vlogs, james did a brilliant intro in london minutes in toe tapping slow motion a work of cinematic master piece don't tell him i told you.humming & haring or rrring.?..
Humming or harring or rarring? Harring.
I said all children are autistic then 🙄
I'm glad you're feeling better Becky.
