did you notice the poster on the door before the zombie killed the projectionist.. it was for red dust.. and people turned into red dust i love little nods like that..it goes by so fast you miss it
I don't know why people see this as a horror film. It's more of a "conversation of thought" kind of film. Nevertheless, it's one of my all time personal favorite movies I grew up with since the 80's. I'm very happy you spent the time to watch it. It's sad that films like this aren't made anymore.
This has been one of my favourite films since it came out. One of the interesting things to notice after watching it more than once include the red gel they used over the camera to make the sky seem dark... sometimes when the camera pans across a landscape you can watch things turn red as it moves. Another thing that's interesting (to me at least) is the over-use of saturated colours like in the neon in the radio station or the cheerleader outfit. The only other film I think that does the same sort of thing is Vamp (also from the 80s).
Oh my gosh I STILL LOVE this movie!😃 I was a young teen and missed it in the theater back in 1984 but watched it a year later on HBO when it was always playing. Love everything about it, especially the comedy that Samantha (Kelli Maroney) brings to it.😂
Damn!, I haven't seen this is years so will have to give it another watch soon. For more fun 80s horror then I know I've mentioned The Blob remake already but you can also add Night Of The Demons (1988) and Waxwork (1988). I know you'll enjoy all of these 3. Keep up the great reactions and if there's not another upload before then happy new year.
Fun fact, actress Kelli Maroney as the cheerleader in this film who also played a cheerleader in Fast Times At Ridgemont High as well, you should check that out.
I've never considered the Dharma Initiative... nice call. All I know is that Joss Whedon claim that the cheerleader is one of the inspirations for Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
comedies like Buffy that i enjoyed, and aren't horror, are mostly just great blonde female roles, Adventures in Babysitting, (80s) Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead, (90s) Buffy's a 90s baby! lululul
@@only257 full moon last year with chinese food, my friends and i watched, White Dog, not just about its blonde woman, but she accidentally ran over a secretly racist serial killer 'monster' dog back to health. big lesson at the end and should be more noticed!
The lady and her family make sure they only walk at the cross walk then she actually presses the street light, you know because there might be traffic. Better safe than sorry.
There should be a fair number of survivors , especially military personnel. People in nuclear submarines, missile silo command centers, NORAD headquarters. People wouldn't have been allowed to just go outside and watch the lightshow. Our side and the Russians.
Ooh that is so true!😃👍 I never thought of that, especially when you mentioned submarines! Now I can visualize even more survivors than I originally imagined.
I'm surprised they didn't use the radio station to contact if there were any other survivors throughout the world and reuniting at the end to help fight off the evil scientists(but that didn't happen). I agree that the polaroid photoshoot was pointless. Who's gonna see these? Nobody, cause they're all turned to red dust. Hector and Regina have zero chemistry. I'd prefer her and Larry. Interesting pairing of Samantha & DMK. With everyone gone they can move into a mansion in Beverly Hills if they wanted to.

Great movie loved big trouble in little China saw it on a bootlegged website years ago fun movie my dad saw it years ago on vhs he enjoyed it too🍿
I'll add Big Trouble Little China to the list! Is that the one with Kurt Russell?
I love those movies, and Catherine Mary Stewart, so underated.

It's sci-fi/horror/suspense with a big dose of tongue-in-cheek sarcasm. Perfect balance, which is almost impossible to achieve.

I enjoyed it! A cool premise and the Zombies were well done, thanks for watching!
Kelli Maroni is one of the nicest people i have ever spoken to
