    Killer TAG video! Also I really dig the Dust t-shirt! Very cool! I also shouted out Sorin’s Vinyl and his pal Matthew from Yesterdays Trips! That Boston LP sounds so incredible on a nice stereo system! Playing at high volume is such an awesome listen!
    The Bobbie Gentry LP is also a part of my collection Takes me back to my childhood listening to my AM Transistor radio !
    I also love music from the 90’s! That PJ album got heavy play by me and my crew back in the day!Fantastic video TAG! ✨✌️👽✨

    Great response to the vinyl tag, Mr. Shelf-Stacker and Happy New Year! I caught this over the weekend but am circling back today to comment. I think my favorite video from you last year, if I'm remembering correctly, was your trip to Germany. I loved hearing about the different shops you visited and you found some great stuff. What a dinner party that would be. I think Kate would certainly brighten up that room. That Geddy Lee Q&A must've been amazing. No arguments from me on the decade and country questions. I loved seeing your 7" singles. And I learned that Gary Numan was in a band before putting out solo albums. I feel like I should've known that but I didn't. Fantastic hearing about the late John Gosling and coaxing stories out of him. Those stories must've been something. Had you been in The Mama & Papa's cover I wonder if the photographer would even had time to get the shot before the room cleared out. Hysterical response to the cover question. I hope all is going well with you! Best wishes in 2024!

      Hi Bill, and thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the Germany trip was fun. I'd love to get back to Berlin this year for more crate digging. As you probably know, German Vertigo swirls are much more affordable than their UK equivalents, so it might be an opportunity to fill some gaps in the collection. Have a great 2024! ☮️

    Great response Mr. Shelf. I picked up the sausage party term from my son, have never forgotten it 😂😂. Definitely miss John Gosling. I chose the US reluctantly, today it would be England. George has a great channel. What a run of albums Stevie had., all must haves. Gentry could be so dark. I just about had to change my pants over your walk into the album cover🤣🤣😂😂. Priceless!! Keep ‘em coming my friend.

      @MrShelf-Stacker  8 месяцев назад

      Sausage Party will henceforth be a part of my lexicon. 😂 I chose England reluctantly, too. I actually own more records by US artists than by Brits, but I suppose that's inevitable given the larger population. We've done a pretty good job of churning out quality music considering what a pissy little island we are. ☮️

    Great Vinyl Tag! I made my first video yesterday and it was a Vinyl Tag. Loved the Tom Petty pick. That album is my second favorite. Ten was a must for me. I got a sealed OG copy this year and I almost picked Back in Black as my greatest hits. I subscribed and look forward to checking out your other videos.

    Happy new year. I agree that the 90s were a great musical decade. I need to do a deep dive again on that time period,mostly on CD. Great showcase as usual. Mamas & Papas 🤠😵‍💫🤓

    A very fine tag sir. Saw Piest live in Bournemouth round about those two LPs. Fantastic gig. Pearl Jam ten is awesome record. They never got close to it. Alive is sublime. Happy new year fella, Chris

      Cheers, Chris. I would have loved to have seen Priest in '78. My first time was in '81 with Accept supporting. The experience is burned into my brain! Happy New Year to you, too.

    Great tag response! The albums you showed for the 70’s made it an absolute slam dunk! The key question is……were you a Bodie or Doyle man? I was Bodie. How Does It Feel? brilliant song! Love the dinner party, Bob Harris was an inspired choice. Being in a Kinks tribute, the John Gosling story really got me. England…..of course 😁 George is Portsmouth like me, not the red place up the road 😂😂 Better than Bad News…..is that possible 😂😂 Back in Black superb! Great tag response, really looking forward to your 2024 videos. Mike

      Cheers, Mike. Always Doyle for me. In primary school, I begged my mum for a checked bomber jacket like Martin Shaw wore so I'd look like him. Didn't happen - she was a tough nut to crack. Oh well! 😂

    Hi - really enjoyed your Tag Video- especially your photo bombing of the Motörhead and Mamas and Papas. Sparks, Floyd, Black Sabbath and Stevie Wonder. AC/DC’s Back in Black was an inspired choice. Cheers Bill

    Know exactly what you mean about Sparks. As a kid I also watched that Top of the Pops, ‘***king hell Hitler is in the keyboards and he keeps looking at me in a very menacing way!’ Not sure I’ve every fully got over that shock to the system. As someone who loved very near Manchester I’m looking forward to seeing where you went and what you picked up. Andy

      I think Manchester is a vinyl goldmine. Visited two shops: one is an old favourite, and the other is a new discovery. Didn't pick up any sparks, unfortunately, but found some real gems nevertheless.

    Very nice selection indeed, I do like your t-shirt, I love dust and I want their records but to find them in the UK is extremely difficult as they never pressed any over here.

      I got lucky and found a near mint US original of the debut here in the UK. I've had to settle for a reissue of Hard Attack until I can upgrade to an OG. Hope you track copies down.

    back when I was in high school, graduated in 1967, in Omaha there was a radio station that had Pookie Snakenburger Day. I have no idea why. never knew there was a band with that name, when & where did it exist?

    • @MrShelf-Stacker
      @MrShelf-Stacker  8 месяцев назад +1

      I've no idea what the name means. The Pookiesnackenburger I showed is the name of the TV programme rather than the band's name. I always assumed the name had been made up for the programme, but I guess your recollections suggest otherwise. Anyone else no the origins of the word?

    I had to choose America, but you put up a visual argument for choosing your home country. Seeing the records you showed gave me 2nd thoughts.

    Very cool 7”s. I invited two guys and two gals to my dinner party. Thinking about it more Tom Waits would be a great choice. Ten by Pearl Jam is a great choice. I think Yield is a great one too. Sitting on the toilet is a great answer.

    Cool stuff , you probably seen the Andy Summers interview with Rick Beato , stories galore going back to Zoot Money days and would love to have seen Geddy at Barbican.

      The Beato interview has been sat in my 'Watch Later' file for a while now. I'll definitely check it out this weekend! Geddy was very interesting at the Barbican. David Baddiel interviewed him, and Alex Lifeson made a surprise appearance.
