I think the key when trying to mesmerize someone to sleep is that you have to create a constant tempo which slows and gets more gentle and quieter as the video progresses. This is a little too manic and leads me to believe he set a timer/watch and had other things on his mind and was mentally trying to speed through this to knock out another video quick so he can focus on something else that was distracting him. There are moments of brilliance in this video. We all know he has the goods, voice, calming energy, looks, gentle gaze, and the potential to be the best male ASMR-tist on the platform. I think a little more planning, setting intention to make yourself sleepy, having nothing planned after the video, would help create the right flow. If for example, you want to say "sleep, sleep, sleep..." in rapid succession towards the end of the video, lower to a barely audible whisper so much so that it trails off into a "sleep, sleep, sssp, sssp, ssp..". Slowly and gently caressing the mic cover is beautiful with soft whispers, like getting a gentle scalp massage. I agree too that wearing headphones brings you into our sphere as listeners so you can gauge pressure on the mic for example.
