    Thanks for the review. You’re the first review of this doorbell that answers whether you can use the house chime when hard wired. Love the Pros/Cons points.

      You’re welcome. The Google Nest doorbell never worked with the chime yet this one did no problem. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Hey, Anthony. Thanks for your video, Man. Nicely presented. Are there any known issues on setting up. I recently purchased an Eufy. But could not get the thing to pare up with my wifi-bluetooth?

      Hi, and thanks for watching. No main issues here, personally. The doorbell is still being used at my mother's without any issues with pairing.

    Hi. If wiring direct from UK mains…do I need a transformer between the power and the unit to lower the voltage ? Thanks

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  26 дней назад

      You might have to if it’s mains voltage. I don’t think it can step the power down on the device itself.

    Hello,l just came across your review of the bots lab camera, a quick question? After 365 video recording can l delete and re-record or l have to subscribe to a storage service?

    Hi. Thank you for really good recession. I have only one question , can I used that for two phones on this same time ? For example when some courier calling to the ringbell, both phones, mine and my wife ringing and can we see at the same time and can we speaking for some courier ?

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  3 месяца назад

      I think that might be possible if you use the device share function in the app. I think it has one. If both have the app they should both ring out I believe but I’ve never tried that scenario.

    Can a plug in transformer be used with this rather than hard wired?

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  4 месяца назад

      The doorbell is battery powered and the chime is plugged in and it sends the ring over the air or it can be hardwired. I’m not sure what you mean by a transformer.

    Hi. I appreciate how detailed your review is. I'm new to this & trying to weigh my options. Forgive me but I'm ignorant to this device & before purchasing I'm trying to figure out how the device charges. I will have to use the wireless option. Once it needs to be recharged, do I just remove the device from the mount & and charge it with a usb?
    Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!!

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi. Yes you’re right. You just push in a small pin at the top of the doorbell to unhook it from the mount then charge it via usb. If you have a large battery bank you could charge it directly whilst it’s on the wall but it might look a bit strange 😂 once charged you clip it back on and your good for another month or three.

    Can you still use the camera without the wifi?

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  8 месяцев назад

      You kinda need WiFi to setup the camera as that’s the only means to connect to it and setup how it records. After that I guess it could run without WiFi but you won’t be able to take advantage of cloud storage, alerts etc. so at that point you may as well get a wireless doorbell and chime for much less money.

    Hi,
    Failed to connect through Wifi. 😢
    Any suggestions. Tried to restart the router, the phone nothing is working. Followed all the steps as per app instructions.

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  8 месяцев назад

      If you can set the route to accept a different or single WiFi band try that. There light be local interference that’s causing it not to connect. Walls and distance between them might also be a factor. If you don’t see a good signal during the test install phase then this might not be the doorbell for your setup

    How do you prevent someone from stealing it? It’s so easy to snap off even without the pin.

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  5 месяцев назад +1

      That is possible, but the same can be said about most smart doorbells. There is a locking pin, the plate it locks onto is plastic though. This plate can be glued (it’s very strong) or screwed into place for more security. But yes, nothing a strong hand can do to yank it off. But you can do that to most doorbells these days.
      The best case for that is to have cloud recording offsite to catch the culprit and hope they get caught. Doorbells with local recording only TF cards in them run the risk of losing it all.

      @CarPlayLife isn't the data recorded by the botslab stored on the chime instead of the doorbell itself?

    Wow very interesting video thank you i have same botslab video doorbell r811 how far the base station should be from the video doorbell? On my i plugged the base station 5 meters way and its only showing 50 percent signal if you check on the settings device heath ? And when i ring the bell there i a delay around 1 minute to ring on the base station? And some times the base station don't ring at all? I deleted the doorbell and reinstalled still the same problem even i connected the base station 1 metre away from the video doorbell still the same problem? In the device heath the wifi signal is showing 100 % can please kindly help me on this issue 🙏 please i email the botslab support team and send them 20 pictures and even the videos and no help at all waiting for your reply Thankyou 😊

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  8 месяцев назад

      I can only talk about my setup for this review and it’s still being used today.
      The doorbell is around 4-5m away from the base station that’s plugged into a low power socket. I would say it’s going through 2-3 solid brick walls, with a WiFi signal of 100% and a doorbell signal strength of only 28%. The doorbell chime can be a little hit and miss (likely due to the signal strength) but it mostly works, when it works it’s around 2-3second delay before the chime fires, certainly not the 1 minute you mention.
      I don’t know of a possible solution. Maybe interference from other tech in the house? Yet you tired it 1m away. You’ve done a reset which I would have suggested so I am all out of ideas and it’s best you follow up with support for further help. Good luck and I hope you get it sorted.

      No I dont think so without compromising the waterproof rating as you’d have to run a cable into the side of it.
