Nope, you can do just one. The CCV can doesn't collect as much oil though. I've been running these for about 2k miles. My CCV can has a light dusting of oil on the inside walls of the can while the PCV can actually has some oil sitting in it.
I did the catch cans mostly because I didn't want to deal with connecting coolant lines. The catch cans are a little cheaper and I rather collect the oil from the CCV & PCV system than have it mix back in with the rest of the oil in the pan.
I didn't have many issues getting the rubber hoses on, you can probably try some soapy water to help. The real pain is getting the Stage 2 Catch Can (PCV) installed, that one was not fun lol. It catches way more oil though.
@@alexs_wrex lol that was opposite for me stage 2 was a breeze just getting the rubber hoses on the stage one was a pain lol I ended up spraying line on it and getting it on just enough to clamp it down
You could just cut the hose that is on the catch can to make it a little shorter. If I’m stock and add one do I need to add both.

What diameter are the hoses and fittings? Are they 5/8? I got a generic one for free so I want to figure out what hose and fittings I need to get.
Not sure tbh. Been a while since I did the install. You could try reaching out to ADD, they should be able to let you know.
Do you know the size of the OEM CCV hose? Is it a 3/8 hose.
I think the ports on the catch can are 9mm.
Why'd you choose a catch can instead of a AOS? Just curious because I'm not sure which one to get just yet.

What did you use to connect the vacuum hoses
The hose clamps that came with the kit.
All the videos I watched no one mentioned how a pain it is to get the rubber hoses over the pvc pipe that we had to cut 🫠
