I love Popham airfield it brings back fond memories of microlite flyin's the 26 approach is an offset approach as you are not allowed the fly over the petrol station. At 8:09 minutes of your video. The painted arrow in the grass is your indicated approach path you must flyover. It makes for exciting landings.
Amazing video! Burning Blue is setting new standards for other developers. It is not just the airfield, but the surroundings. I’m surprised to see that, in this aspect, they are doing better even than ORBX. After watching this, I’ll buy it now!
Man that is a beautiful airfield and surrounding area!!! Love the motorcycles and attention to detail! I'll end up having more scenery from the UK than I do of my own country if they keep it up! Man thos gas or as you say over there,, petrol, prices are cheap at 1.19 pounds, that's 1.65 United States Dollars! If you think that's a rip off, I paid $3.49 the other day but got .80 cents off per gallon for 25 gallons.
1 year later and its £1.95 ish per Litre. I was at Popham yesterday and I can honestly say the walk around was near identical, fantastic, thank you very much...
So it’s a bit good then? ;). I used to drive past Popham on my way home from London when I was based at RAF Uxbridge (some time ago).. I’ll have to pick this one up.
Looks like a very nicely modelled airfield, small correction, it's a C42 simulator there not C47... I noticed they've modelled a couple of C42's outside the training school, I'm hoping at some point someone will produce a good C42 to MSFS as that's what I'll soon be learning to fly in.
Haven't watched the whole video ..but just had to say i'm luvin this airfield already! ..due to the Motorbikes, and the cassic cars and vw campervan ..Awesome! ( i have a 1969 mgb . .luv it lol) £11 ! ..how can they make something so detailed and only charge £11
Hi mate I notice your PC render scaling is set to 80. Did you not subscribe to the turning up to 200 theory? What are your thoughts on this theory currently?
Yes, I think you will get away with it! Anyway, seriously, I have been to Popham a few times, once this year and I can confirm the realism is fantastic. A great contribution by you. I’ll forward to a mate of mine who goes there often - he’ll be impressed.
STUNNING new scenery by Burning Blue Design. Enjoy a full tour in both 2D and VR of Popham airfield in ULTRA detail.

Thanks Ashley! I'll remember that for next time :)
Yes, the CAA don’t approve of planes landing on top of petrol stations!
What would be really cool is if the fuel prices got live updates every day to reflect actual price at the pump on that day.
One of the best👍👍👍 congrats to Burning Blue Design.
Thanks Steve. As always a great review👍
Take care

Absolute steal well done to the creator its small detailed airfield like this that really make it immersive for us. Will be buying this for sure.

Petrol price is per litre, not gallon (in case some US-based folk are wondering).

Hi Benson I always use VR render at 100, I sometimes knock it down for recording.... the 200 PC render thing doesn't work for me.
Anybody who has actually flown into Popham on r26 will know it is a cardinal sin to fly over the Petrol Station and that the approach is offset
Luckily I doubt the authorities are watching (least I hope not)!
