I put henna over my chemically died hair and it made it so much healthier than before! About 6 months after using henna, I put blonde highlights over the henna just to see how it would react and what it would look like. And you're so right!! Chemicals ain't got nothing on henna lol it didn't change the color, probably made it a little more orangey (which I love anyways lol). But henna is in my hair to stay, I love it so much

I have been combining henna and chemical dyes forever! I have light brown hair and i like it to be a bit lighter copper/strawberry blonde shade, so i dye my roots with chemical hair dye. I was also bleaching it in the past and putting henna over it, works great. Hanna can only help your damaged hair and give it moisture and protection. Only be careful to always use pure henna and not the pre-prepped mixtures that have metals and who knows what. Anyway, i do my henna mix (henna, amla, cassia and shikakai) to even out my color and to refresh it and give it shine. The best with henna is that my hair is not damaged and since i have learned to manipulate it, i'm not stuck with the same shade that is getting deeper. I love it! My hair has the most beautiful shade, it looks so natural and shinny!

@@carolinalopez8862 hi :) I put my henna right after I bleached my hair. It’s basically a herb, like putting a tea bag on it. It will only stain your hair, can’t damage it. Just make sure you use pure quality 100% (Lawsonia inermis). Don’t use pre-mixed henna or henna that sells under different colors like burgundy henna etc. Pure henna can only be orange, how deep it’s gonna be depends on what your hair color currently is.

My dream is also to get the word out how henna and natural products are so awesome for your hair and body! I have been using henna and cassia for almost 40 years. I started using "hennalucent" in sunset color in the early eighties... Egyptian Henna powder and finally now I use Light Mountain. I would love to try your products. I have searched high and low for any salon who would help with the application and then I could go home and remove it after a few hours myself, I haven't found one yet in Southern California. It only melts your hair and makes the crazy stuff happen when you use lightener/bleach OVER the henna. You need to let it fade first and maybe grow out. But henna over light color or bleach is great. Makes it healthier. Henna is Amazing for redheads it helps keep your red between root touchups. Just dye on the roots if you need it then henna the previously colored part. Ive done it before and ive got a master colorist certification from Pravana. So yep. It works

Definitely not a hair expert but i'm not sure how possible this would be unless the hait had been lifted to white or near white, since Indigo gives a kind of green hue when used over a natural blonde color, and raw henna itself is essentially orange. You might be able to use some other kind of natural dye? i'm not sure, the closest thing ive seen to purple is a cool deep red

I stumbled over your videos and I am so glad and thankful you put all the time and effort into making these videos. I wanna go back to my natural hair journey. My hair is bleach blonde right now (almost white) and I am sick of it. I wanna go back to natural hair dyes (I used Henna in the past and I loved it) and let my hair just do it's thing. I want to go for a red, but knowing it is white blonde it will get bright orange which I don't want, so I learned I could mix it up with Cassia and take out the orange tones. I want to get a rich a bit darker red. If anyone of you has some advice let me know.

This is not a myth in my expeirence. I tried a two-step henna + indigo on my black mother's relaxed hair several years ago (she also had remnants of box dye on her hair) and not only would it not cover the grey (the paste would not stay put to cover the grey strands like the rest of her non-grey hair) but afterwards, my mother experienced massive hair breakage. She wasn't happy about it because I'm the one who convinced her to try henna in the first place, not knowing the risk on processed hair :(. I had used Henna Sooq powders at the time.

It can really fortify the hair. If you strengthen the hair to much, it breaks. It's why people should start with a gloss. Put the henna in a conditioner and start there.
Even after a hardcore henna treatment, you should always deep condition
