Kevin, your videos are a balm to the soul right now as we struggle through so much division and violence in our world today. One of your hallmarks that I’ve always loved is the way you take simple ingredients and “elevate” them through your careful preparation. They become more than the individual ingredients. My husband roasts amazing brussel sprouts. He uses different flavor combos that always include onion and garlic powder, seasoned salt. It varies with Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, and sometimes uses rosemary or lemon infused olive oil. Thought I hated them too until I had them roasted-thx for encouraging your viewers!

I just love sheet pan dinners! This one is elegant enough for a dinner party, for sure! While I don't always set a pretty table for my son and myself, sometimes doing so really lifts our spirits! Your flower arrangements are always so beautiful, too! This year I'm planning to grow more flowers that are suitable for arrangements. Most of the ones I plant are medicinal that I dry and use when I make our soap, but having even zinnias, sunflowers and marigolds would make lovely bouquets. Thank you, Kevin, for inspiring me! ❤

One of my favorite dinners. I haven't had lately. I love the maple marinade mixture. Also I too enjoy serving sweet potatoes with salmon, but never thought about including brussel sprouts. They do taste better when roasted. Lovely dining by fireside. A nice menu for company, but also good if dining alone. The flower arrangements are beautiful as always. I got that same teapot in London when I was stationed there in 77-78. There was a Boxing Day china sale at a discount house on the side of Harrods. All I have is the teapot. I have the red set, Old Country Roses but not the teapot in it. Two years ago a customer was mailing Wedgwood she sold and her neighbor set a whole bunch of it out on the street. I told her I love that stuff and she let me go to her house after work and I bought a ton of it for like $250. I’m so happy about that. I recently found your channel and I love it.

Salmon tastes too fatty to me but the way you prepared it, I might bite the bullet and give it another try. I like the idea of preparing the food early so the day is free for other things. I’m a farmer ( Salers grass fed beef and Berkshire pastured pork) and one of the things I grow is fennel ( hate it ) but love the flowers, beautiful in cut arrangements. I grow vegetables and flowers and work part time at a small farmer’s cooperative, where I also grow a few veg there for the employees and to show our customers what is possible. I cut flower arrangements for all my co-workers and myself once a week. Try fennel in your beautiful garden- and maybe you would like to eat it too( not me!)- lovely and interesting for cut bouquets. Enjoy your channel very much.

Imagine a vintage lady such as I learning new things at my age! But I am. Always count on the young'uns. BTW I used your plum tea cake recipe but I didn't have plums so I used sliced apples. I get such inspiration watching you and the paring of foods you chose. You are so right, I've had steamed brussel sprouts for years but when I've tried the roast them apparently I'm doing something wrong. They always seem burnt but you convinced me to try again.
