If WSM doesn't start to put on live streaming, this competition is going to overtake it pretty quickly, if it hasn't already. Super excited to watch this rather than just refresh score sheets. Going to be an awesome show.
Don't use a ordinary air-rubberwheel on the wheelbarrow. If something happens with the air preassure between contenders there will be very different rolling resistance. Use a stiff air-free wheel
At those speeds the main factor on the force will be roller friction over surface friction. Pressure makes a difference because part of the energy is lost on tire deformation, but if they are properly calibrated they will be fine. Also the slow speeds wouldn't heat the tires that much to significantly change air pressure or tire elasticity.
Frankly I'm glad Loz pushed back on Brian and roughly said "look Brian you likely have one of the 10 best if not the best, ability to do this event on earth, are you sure this isn't too hard?". Aka making sure there is separation between the guys at the low end as well as at the very high end of performance. And look strongman is meant to be entertaining. Congrats I'm nearly certain I can craft a contest so even a retired Brian could beat all the current pros, even without Brian training for it. Loz I think is looking out for the spectical side of the sport. Since frankly half the athletes not even able to leave the starting line doesn't put on a good show. 1 or 2 sure but not 6-10 like you need weights most the guys could at least make some progress with.
@@bobbybobman3073 It should be heavy, otherwise it will turn into something like 2023 world's strongest man bus pull where 7 guys were separated within a span of 1 second.
Spectacle is in the crazy implements, requirements, etc. It's also been how many people are able to make any progress at all, how many things go far and how many can complete it. We are really going to see who the strongest is and it also gives the athletes a chance to see what they need to improve on or tweak in their training. Look at the difference between the first time the car leg was used the second time. They didn't make it easier, athletes just pushed harder, adjusted their training and were able to do even better.
This competition can't get here soon enough. Although I'm waiting for Loz to point out that Brian is still one of the worst to be an equipment tester, because retired or not, he's still freakishly strong 🤣
This is the type of event where I wish Kieliszkowski was healthy and prime. Not even to see a win. I want to see the numbers of him vs everyone else. Mateusz was/is so amazing at so many events. He's in some weird category and he's the only one in it. By far and away the greatest stongman to never win WSM or the Arnolds. I don't think it's a debate. Hell, I think every strongman that competed against him has experienced a shock. I wish I knew the numbers on what he does vs what everyone else is doing. I'm convinced it's different in some way or another.
Look at what goes into this competition. They're really trying to find out who the strongest man is. I mean this ain't running with bricks on your back.
The level of thought Brian puts into this absolutely demonstrates exactly what the highest level should be. There is no argument that can be made that WSM is the number one title. SMOE is a much more accurate indictor of who the real GOAT is.
12:40 So 40 ft for Arm over Arm (2nd phase). What's the distance for the Wheelbarrow (1st phase)? Koma Svo Hafthor, let's do this also to the best of your ability! 💪🏻👑❤️
@@martinnilsson5295 Yes Martin. Hope at least the athletes will get the info. What's baffling to me is we are only 18 days away and still we don't know the Squat weight.
@@NirsterkurThey won't know the best weight until the apparatus is built and they test it. That happens every year at the Shaw Classic. It's probably 800 lbs, as Thor said that Brian said it'll be anywhere from 340-380 kg.
@@A-A-RonDavis2470 When are they finishing it? Don't the athletes deserve to know the final weight to train properly for that? This is not merely a 40 kg range but also, not knowing how much of it actually translates on top of your back.
@@A-A-RonDavis2470 I have a gut feeling that this squat over-complication will lead to another 'leverage tomfoolery horror story' just like how scientifically and *spectacularly* they found out Kevin Faires is the best Squatter in Strongman in 2021. 🤣
It all sounds really great but I'm a little concerned that maybe Brian is pushing the events to be a little too gruelling and we'll have athletes drop out with fatigue and injuries. I feel the other guys might agree reading between the lines. There's a fine balance between good separation and only having a few competitors left to end the show.
I don't know if anybody finishes this event. The testing video with Brian and Nick was taxing. They had that event that day. Big Loz is probably right. Take another 100 pounds off Brian! Speaking for all the closer to normal guys.

ASC, RI and SMOE already are superior competitions to WSM.
You can just see the wheels turning in Loz’s head, absorbing everything Brian says and calculating the best plan of attack for his boy.
Yeah. I would say Mitch has a got shot of winning the comp.
Not just that, Loz is methodical and looks to add to the conversation. Smart dude

@@warrenchu5752could still fail during an athlete’s run tho

There should be an event, where strongman pull a wreaking ball pendulum as high as possible, and release it where it smashes something.
It's probably been done before (because it's a good idea)
11:29 I mean no disrespect to Trey or Brian, but calling this event Trey's "Achilles Heel" is kind of poetic 😂
Ok, so I wasn't the only one waiting for the "no pun intended" lol
"Do you remember the boat pull in 2009?"
It was the first WSM finals event Brian ever won so I'd be surprised if he didn't.
Yeah, I saw that on RUclips. Brian crushed it on that one. I think Big Z did terrible on that event if I remember correctly.
Yes, Z was 8th in that event. @@Fergus-H-MacLeod

Very excited for this event
A test of mental strength as well is always a necessary element to have in a proper Strongman Competition! A+ as always Brian! Marine Mike 🇺🇸 💪

JF loves heavy wheelbarrows, so we're required to love them😂

Thanks so much for this type of content, absolutely love it.
Rooting for Thor... LFG
Any chance we can get Big Z and JF on the venue next year?
Looking forward to seeing the shaw classic 👌 can't wait.
Are these roundtables done at a stretch? If so, there can be new developments specially since we are now in the last 3 events.
It was filmed all at once
I like these types of videos but hopefully Brian can give everyone some more time to talk

All this data post comp will make decision making on events in future comps so much easier and accurate and stop events being to hard or easy
Trey will not be looking foward to this one, Lucas Hatton wont do to well in this one either.

yes. he said he'll release information about buying the stream at some point. his shows usually use ADL Live for streaming
Yes. They have a live stream

Its hard to predict. These events don't appear in strongman quite as much as other events, like atlas stones which are $^%^%%$ everywhere.
These type of events get me excited I like the moving events but I like them most when they're heavy and not everybody finishes
Great series of chats
Mateusz would be 👀
