The other thing I do is ask for a box with dinner and put half away right away. Then I feel like I can eat "everything" on my plate but I'm still only eating a good portion rather than the huge portion they have brought me with all the associated calories. It has worked out well so far. Good luck! 🎉
That's a good idea and I've tried it in the past. I want to be able to do that, but then I have to fight the toddler in my head. I guess I'll just tell it to take a nap like I did the other night and go on with my meal! Thanks for sharing what works for you.
I have loved watching your daily vlogs this month. I don't watch vlogs normally but I've loved yours. You should do it again in future! I can't believe how much you were able to read in a month as well as all the other things you were doing. Seeing your routines, daily planning was really fun!
I have enjoyed your daily vlogs. I am happy to hear you have a plan for your eating. It sounds good. I thought about the stop and go in our brain and you are right. Giving up dairy took me forever but that's when I retrained my brain.
I can't do all the random diets, it never works but the last few months I have been eating in a deficit for my body which is still 1800 cals and upped my protein to at least 100 g a day and more fiber, also portion control and I don't eat diet foods unless I like them. I have lost 17 pounds. Some days it's hard as I just want to snack, but having extra protein in my meals are helping. Your dogs are so cute!
Thanks for sharing what's working for you. I love that we each have to take a path to get us to a place where we are comfortable with what we're doing. I am upping my protein as well and noticing a difference in my snacking too.
I'd highly recommend not skipping meals even if they are suboptimal. It depends a bit on how your body and psyche work, but skipping meals will plummet your blood sugar levels and can easily lead to binge eating episodes (it did for me). If you can get some easy snacks/meals in your pantry/freezer that you can always get easily that will help loads (make a little list for yourself, for me canned pineapple without sugar/syrup is a low effort/energy, healthy snack). It's not about perfection, it's about doing better❤
Yeah, and I didn't mean eating nothing (I should've clarified), I just meant eating something small instead of eating a whole meal from a fast-food place. The options you listed are fantastic. Thanks for sharing!!

I’ll miss hearing more about your day to day! This was fun!
I’ve loved these daily videos and will miss starting my work day with them 😢
Aw! That's so sweet! Thanks for joining me with them.
Going to miss watching your daily vlogs, and seeing the doggos too. 😂
Maybe I'll post pics of the dogs in my community tab more. Just so they don't go anywhere! :)
@@TheReadingandWritingLife I have fallen in love with Skeeter! I love jango obvs but Skeeter is just a sweetie!

I'm glad you liked it as much as I did. It was fun, but it was a lot of work. I definitely couldn't do it while also doing daily sims videos! :)

I love that you called it that. It really is retraining our brains. Thanks for sharing!
I've enjoyed watching your daily vlogs and getting to know you a little bit. They way you schedule your day out is impressive.
Thanks. I wouldn't get anything done if I didn't have the schedule. I can keep almost nothing in my head, so it has to be scheduled. ;)

P.s. Really been enjoying the vlogs!❤

@@TheReadingandWritingLife Oh good! I think that's a wonderful idea. Eat a little snack so you can cook yourself a full meal.
I’m working on slowing down. It really helps when I am cognizant enough to do it.
That is so true!! Thanks for celebrating the end of July with me!!
