I'm glad Tidus is in Honorable mentions. Tidus run speed is ridiculous, you don't even have to dodge certain moves which makes punishing and putting fear into your opponent that much easier. Sometimes I'd even feint with it after running out of a move. Its like his mind games goes to another level when he's in EX mode.
Honestly he could have been in the top 5 totally in my opinion lol. It's just so darn good and he can enter it fast too with Hop Step, his speed with Aerith and a lot more.
Loved the heck out of both Dissidia games back then and still do today. As for the EX Modes my favorites has to be Tidus Star Ace, Firion's Blood Weapon, Sephiroth's Reunion, Jetch's Braska's Final Aeon, Cecil's Job Augment and Golbez's Shadow Dragon
I had no idea that many people would be watching these videos! Gives me hope in humanity that there are people who still love the PSP Dissidia games. Great choices and glad to see some other characters that you love to play. Those two games just hit different
@@J7Jase Oh absolutely, they do indeed hit differently. To me despite that i never played the newer one "then again, it was for the best" the first 2 games have pretty much everything right down to the tee. Don't get me wrong Dissidia NT hyped me up when the first trailers dropped back then but they stripped out of a lot of things that made both OG Dissidia and 012 great and the 3v3 should've been optional right from the start, not just on certain online matches and don't get me started on the "story" NT may had potential but it was meh at best and that "10 year plan" was too much of a strech. Not surprising it died so fast.
Would mention some of my honnorable mention : -Exdeath's EX which allows to double the damage of all his counter, or how to make the best character in the game even more deadly XD. -Bartz's EX mode cause it gives him access to Goblin Punch and Goblin Punch the fastest HP Attack in the game, which makes him scary to deal with. -Yuna's EX mode similar to Kefka and Terra essentially give her doublecast. -Garland : His super armor property is nice, prevent the opponent to interrupt him, and can even been use to counter some HP attack that have a long sequence of bravery damage. As a special mention so sad they nerfed Shantotto's EX mode in Duodecim, in OG Dissidia this was a busted a EX Mode allowing to retain the Bravery after landing an HP attack.
Good list but at this point is is mentioning way too many things. Whisk Exdeath can be the best character it is simply too hard to use him. And even masters will still make mistakes.
@J7Jase I used to main Exdeath back in the day, I was doing pretty good but some extremely fast attack can be very (Zidane was the bane of my existence when playing as Exdeath XD), I'd say he is easier to learn than some other character like Jecht for instance.
This is a nice video! Where can I get your contact so we can play online sometime and have a few tips and advices from you?, because FFD012 has a lot of options. On the other hand, I've seen videos with other people playing with many bars lives, where or how can I do that?
Thanks so much for the kind words. Right now I don't play Dissidia 012 online but if you want to ask me a few more questions feel free to send me an email or message me on X. Wait a second many bars lives? Like have their HP exceed 9999? It is possible to do that with some equipment items and accessories
Cloud's sonic break bravery attack naturally has guard crush as well as a slight Vacuum effect in duodecim. And how can you not put gabranth on the actual list? He is the EXecutioner after all.
Sonic Break only does when he is in EX but he has Absorb you are right. Firaga is the ability that breaks guards. While he needs his EX mode to win battles I just don't think it's as strong as the others is all. This is just my list and video so feel free to disagree or agree.
@@J7Jase I remember breaking guards without EX on sonic break before and breaking even on Exdeath's and Jhect's command blocks with it. Here's another idea though, Given that this list is dominated by mostly cosmos characters, who do you think are the best villain's EX mode?
@@BlufireTheifprince I can upload a clip showing Sonic Break being blocked if you want. I showed quite a few Chaos characters I thought though. The Emperor and Kefka to name a few and even Gilgamesh and Gabranth. Although with Chaos probably its Kefka, Feral Chaos, Gabranth, Emperor and perhaps Gilgamesh.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It makes him harder to punish and he also gains more attack but idk. I just don't see how it ranks in the top personally

This deserves more views for sure! Wonderful info and gameplay capture!
Thanks so much! Dissidia is a bit of a cult like game but I still love it. I'm glad at least a few people enjoy these other videos!

I love to see Cloud in your top 1, I loved playing with him against difficult stages enemies
Yeah his EX Mode is fantastic. Glad to see you and some FFT viewers also played this game 👍
@@J7Jase this game was a huge masterpiece in my opnion, it was just so fun
I have a problem, i cant equip any armor or summons, can anyone tell me how to fix it?
go into customization and not arcade mode. Arcade has preset characters

Cecil Ex Mode is better, you can spam changing jobs and the opponent just forfeits
