Nick's comment/question at the 6:50 mark is EXACTLY how I got started down the rabbit hole of detailing. Bought a full size crew cab truck (after owning mostly sports cars) and quickly realized I needed a better way.
Great video! Would you guys consider doing a couple of weekly-type wash routines and a couple of monthly & 3 month-types? I know there could be a lot of variables but this would help to simply my routines. Just a thought based on the discussion in this video.
Me living in NYC in an apartment, I dnt have access to pressure washers or a hose so I have been using this method since day 1. I use my IK sprayer to pre-soak thn use my bucket of Rinseless Wash and legacy sponge to wipe dwn the car. I get great results every time !! I do the wheels last, believe it or not.
Likewise...wheels last. I think it's generally adopted routine with rinseless wash to do wheels last; you're not spraying the dirt off the wheels and potentially getting it back on paint, and then the wheel dirt ends up in your bucket at the end (doesn't require a 2nd wheel bucket).
I am sorry but there is no way I can believe that those sponges really release all the dirt inside of it when rinsing it, and even if it does more that wiping a small area with each of the sponge is all that I would use. To each his own.
I'm always curious why my rinseless wash bucket ends up with dirty water and your bucket is just a bit dirty. I only use rinseless wash when doing a touch up wash. If the car is dirty, then I normally do a hose & bucket wash. I live in northern California, so my cars don't get overly dirty.
Doing wheels and tires you get a lot of pop for the effort. Or bang for the buck as they say. Great to see in real time how to do a quick maintenance wash if your car is not so dirty. 2 against 1 means it should take me an hour or so.
Has this truck ever had an Iron Remover used on it? Is the Wash Clay Seal method safe on a vehicle that hasn't had Iron Remover applied in recent history?
As usual great video… always learn something new or reinforce information already learnt. Couple of questions for you about working on exposed truck beds. 1) Do you decontaminate and spray ceramic gloss to the interior portion of a truck bed? 2) Would you polish the interior portion of the truck bed if you were to polish the truck?
Love the channel, how can i do panel by panel rinsless on dirtier cars. As the whole reason im doing rinsless is because of direct sunlight. How can i "pre-rinse" without more problems as using free-flowing water becomes a big issue in direct sun.
You can spray on Rinseless, rinse with a garden hose (find a setting where you feel like it's flushing the panel but not spraying everywhere) then spray rinseless again, wash, then quickly dry and move to the next panel
What do you recommend doing with the drying towels now loaded with ceramic gloss? Do you wash the drying towels immediately, soak in rinseless until ready to wash? Or can I throw them in a bin to wash later after collecting a few of them from other jobs?
Put them in your wash bucket immediately after use so the surfactants in your Rinseless Wash/Incredible Suds can stop the cross linking from happening. Then they can be put in the wash after a good soak
I ran out of ceramic gloss and had to use another product today... It was so clearly not as glossy. I have the 5 year coating so i like gloss and it was just a buzzkill to the wash! I have more on the way and im sure ill have to wash right when i get it. I did go foam cannon though even though im rinseless at heart. Warm day in the winter just felt right to foam.
I live in Indonesia & really want this rinseless or any rinseless car soap here available in the market. I've tried doing rinseless method using other car shampoo & not very effective because many of them are leaving residue behind
Can i say that i really find your approach to your detailing education as very refreshing. It is spot on to say that cleaning your car that you have invested your money on what could be considered an extension of your personality. Being proud of that is a great feeling. Im in Australia and we have a very harsh and hot climate. Ive been detailing for 40 years and i think your products are what i would like ❤to try but and always but in Australia a lot of products put it out of my reach due to the cost when they get here. The big companies stick to the main stream. Once again thanks for putting a feel good feeling into detailing and the work that you put into videos. Really good. Thanks
Thank you Peter. For the cost, our products are highly concentrated, and less is more. In many cases cost per use makes them the least expensive to use, even though they are more expensive to purchase.
This is great for maintenance wash and protection, what would you suggest for a vehicle that has not had anything but touch less washes so far? APC or iron remover first?
@diydetailofficial Spot Remover did a great job assisting me in removing the road salt I got on my truck while driving from Louisville, KY to Omaha Nebraska and back to Louisville. I sprayed Spot Remover over the entire exterior and let it dwell for a few minutes. Then sprayed Rinseless on the vehicle and let the combo of Spot Remover and Rinseless dwell for a few minutes. Rinsed the vehicle off with my cordless pressure washer fed warm water from a water container which removed all the road salt as far as I could tell. Resprayed the car with Rinsless to act as lubricant for the hand wash. Yvan, Nick, please feel free to give feedback on this method of washing of washing road salt off.
The recommended method for a really dirty car with Rinseless Wash: 1) pre-soak car in rinseless 2) rinse off with hose 3) re-apply rinseless wash and continue with contact rinseless wash. If you're like me, and the car got to a point of being really dirty (like after a Canadian winter road trip to Quebec) AND you don't have access to a hose, this is my approach: take it to a wash bay, do the pre-soak of rinseless and pressure wash off, then back your car out of the bay and do your rinseless contact wash. Uses $2 for the one session in the bay, and you're not clogging up a bay while doing the contact wash of your car (which is typically frowned upon at these bays). This is like a "reset". Keep up with semi-regular maintenance washes and a contact rinseless wash alone should do the trick. DIY Detail recently did a video of this type of approach ruclips.net/video/uryuer3NuLM/видео.html. Can even keep away from a wash bay if you have one of those portable battery pressure sprayer tools that Yvan uses in the video.
watching Pan the Organizers latest video made me think of a question for you guys… What temperature range in Fahrenheit Should you apply your ceramic coatings? Thanks in advance!
Iwent to a wearhouse in illinois that stocks up on diy. I asked about what they think about rinseless wash and the person at the front desk told me he does not recommend it. I was just suprised someone that sells rinseless tells me not to do rinseless. Just crazy how some people dont try it and knock it! Im a DIYer myself and im tryinf my best as a hobby! Thank you for daily uploads cant wait for next Q&R(We were talking about salt ) obviously im not going to wipe caked salt just light washes during winter
What causes little spec sometimes when I use the ceramic gloss as a drying agent. Sometimes I will see them a couple days later. Inlove the produxt but wondering if its something I am doing.
The $25 that you invest in the legacy sponge is the best $25 you have ever spent for the safety of your paint. I've never understood the 20 microfiber towel guys with rinseless wash. You end up using 20 pieces of wash media that are super thin, naturally hold dirt and scratch risk in their microfibers, and provide very little pressure relief for the pressure points of your palm and fingers.
Would y’all consider doing a short on saving diluted rinse less wash after a wash? I’ve toyed with making a sieve/strainer to remove debris and keep it for reuse but idk if it is advisable.

When looking into the bucket from the top it makes it appear worse than it is

A per case evaluation. If it’s a working truck probably not worth the effort
Love the real time washing!
Thanks
Do you sell the rinse bucket on your website?
Not yet
Great video guys! Just started using your rinse less wash and ceramic gloss and I'm loving it so far!
Great to hear!
Is the FLEX PE 14-2 150 with a top speed of 2100 RPM fast enough to spin out water from the jeweling pad?

Just subscribed… No mullet… Joe Dirt days are over…Can you Rinseless wash a 1 month old paint job… Here in Michigan it gets salt on my car? Ty
Thanks, yes you can wash it straight out of the paint booth.
How come we never see you guys cleaning and drying the door jambs? To me, it's an essential part of an exterior detail. Thoughts?
We usually do off camera once the video is done, good reminder to include that though!
At 100,000 subscribers Nick should shave his head and grow a beard like Yvan!
Interesting idea lol I’m not sure if I can grow a beard 😂

@diydetailofficial I thought once something touched wheels you shouldn't use on paint
We need a video on how to remove artillery fungus / mold spores from you guys😉
Very common here in Florida. Thanks 😉
Yes, it’s on the list, but requires a infected vehicle.
With each video, I learn something new. I’m wondering how often you wash “door jams” or tail-gate doors, and do you wash with rinseless wash?
We clean them regularly, Rinseless or waterless both do a great job.

There’s nothing wrong with that

May, 13 2024 and decon towel sold out…any idea of a rough timeline of when it will be back in stock?
2 -3 weeks, some of our distributors still have some

What about salt? Should we use a pressure washer first?
No, start with the chemicals to break down the dirt.

Is it safe/effective if I only use rinseless wash as the lubricant for the “clay” towel?
Safe yes, but more effective with DIY Detail Iron Remover or DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss at the same time.
Nick trying to act like that ladders not heavy. 😎 Entertaining as always.
It’s not light
Do you recommend a soap wash if the car is extra dirty?
The level of dirt makes no difference, Rinseless is a technique more than a product.

Would your regular Kirkland Micro Fiber towels do instead of using the Legacy Sponge. If so, what precautions should be taken. 10 rags? No Resoaking?
They will work, but not as safe, very time consuming, and lots of laundry to do. Pressure is your biggest enemy.
Ceramic Gloss vs Quick Beads at the end when drying. Trade offs?@@diydetailofficial
The $25 that you invest in the legacy sponge is the best $25 you have ever spent for the safety of your paint.
