I spent almost 10 years in drugs, and when i tried to quit i got motivated because of this song and now I'm 7 years and 6 months clean. The thing about this guy is that all of his songs are meaningful discussing daily life problems that any one can face an d deal with, you won't hear a song for Mekky about women and getting laid or how much fortune does he have or and other silly things that other rappers do, and thats why mekky's songs are always up-to-date and never get old, you can listen to them any time regardless what was the trend is.Thanks mekky .. i own you my life ❤
We all speak Arabic, but the local dialects are different, like the difference between Britain, Australia and the United States... For example, I'm from Syria, but I understand the Egyptian dialect....
That's not actually true. The British and American English are ACCENTS of the same English language. While Egyptian and Syrian are DIALECTS. Accent and Dialect are totally different things
That song when it first came out..was so impactful that it sort of single handedly started a National campaign for young people to start addiction treatment..that’s the kind of impact Ahmed Mekky has
He got me crying all the video 😭😭😭😭😭😭 my first time hearing it... When his mother tell him take the many you are no longer, my son 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭..... I can't stop crying the song is so touching
Ahmed mekky said in interview after this song : his had 7 friends died from drugs and he sad very much so , he wrote and sang this song and too save the youth from this danger❤❤
God it rings so many bells , brothers this song was out when i was 14 , i wouldn’t be exaggerating if i said that this song was the main reasons that myself and many of my generation stayed away from hardcore drugs , it made the hardcore drugs a real red line to us ,it was available but every time you have a chance to try ATR EL HAYAH hits in , and for the generation before us many people who we knew in person went by there own will to a rehab , after they got out clean they told us they didnt want to repeat the last scene of this song , sorry if wrote to much but for any egyptian in my age MEKKY is our hero , carry on the good work , all the love from Egypt ❤️
It's crazy how y'all mentioned that it's like a train.. the word "Atr / قطر" basically means "Train" in the Egyptian dialect.. The name of the song is "Life's Train" That's proves how music has that special effect on you regardless of nationality, race, religion, or whatever! Love your content guys! Keep it up 🙏🏼💯
Actually he made this track to warn people from those situation specially that he lost many of his close friends just the same way they went through bad situations then started taking drugs then then were lost and dead .. they were close friends to mekky he was never a drug addict but some of his friends were.
5:386:33 thanks for sharing those words .. and your face reactions specialy at the end of song are very touchable ♥️ With my Support and greetings from egypt 👍
Yes, as an Arab boy, I changed myself a lot after hearing this song and set it as my phone ringtone so I could learn a lesson and know what to do. I am glad you are listening to our beautiful songs. Thank you
Also, just a funfact I think it would be cool to know: At the last two minutes, the guy with the beard who was their friend (song wise), Is also a popular public figure, expect that he doesn't sing or anything, but is a funny comideian actor, and has acted with Ahmed mekky multiple times, he's also an Egyptian Islamic actor! You should react to him aswell, maybe try watching Ahmed mekky and his friend in Al kabeer, you'll laugh alot at the jokes and everything, tho it is copyrighted so you do gotta be careful if you wanna react to it!! Also yeah their name is Mohamed Sallam!
There are very many people this video clip helped them to overcome the drug path and convince them to change their lives Greetings to you from Egypt ❤️👑

Hey, just wanted to say sth that imght explain the Arabic/Egytpian thing. So basically, Egyptian Arabic is the easiest to speak and is the most easily understood by other Arab speaking countries. We, as Egytpians may not always understand what they're saying, but there are a lot of words that translate into different meanings through the various Arabic dialects. What we speak everyday, is nothing like what's written, which is classical Arabic. Spoken is so simplified and quite easy to learn. :) PS Love what you've said in your video
Guys, I've just found your channel and I can't stop watching your awesome videos. You offer such great content and perspective on songs. As an Egyptian, I really appreciate your interest in the Arabic culture. I recommend that you review 'Akhret El Sha'awa' by Ahmed Mekky. It's a song about the swiss knife but it's so symbolic and virtuous. Also, a song by Ahmed Saad called 'El Melouk', was actually featured in the credits of an episode of the recent Marvel series ' Moon Knight' I know you'll dig it 😊😊
I was never addicted to drugs, but i used to drink and smoke, two faces of the same coin, i really wanted to quit and stop that crap, too many attempts but it felt like a never ending cycle, this song is one of the reasons why i quit, really touched me, now im year and a month clean Alhamdulilah, thank you mekky we owe you so much
Meeky is amazing bruv, The clip is super lit, he literally brought an egyptian real famous artists, and the director is an movies and series’s director, so the clip is like an series EP. , Respect hommies 🔥🖤
