These dudes were amazeballs live I saw them with circa survive waaay waay back in the day like 2007 and they blew the fucking roof off my girl was star struck and I didn't even care lol they were that good. I have no clue how they didn't get much bigger I mean if I were in this band I would have thought for sure that the band would make it to the tippy top but I guess it wasn't in the cards for Them. I'm just so happy I got to see them when they were in their prime. I'm honored to have seen them
They would have gotten much bigger but broke up right as they were gaining serious traction. It sucks because we would have gotten at least another 2/3 albums
Lucy was a good album, but lowcountry was a great album. Not only did have balls but every song every drum, guitar, bass, keys and vocal part is perfectly written and placed. They became writers and that's what made them a perfect band.
Couldn’t agree more, but I think Jer really stepped up his game on the bass for this album. His tone and his feel throughout the whole album is on another level.
I was at this show and this performance still blows my mind. These guys were light years ahead of their time and most every other scene band they shared the stage with.
crazy Ryan advirtised it a few years ago on his instagram with a playlist called something like "songs no one cares about" in my top 5 rock albums of all time start to finish
eotc was very very under appreciated. I was lucky to see them live in El paso Tx. when Low country came out It changed the way I looked at music for a long while. wishing these guys would get back together and write more amazing music. North Korea just isn't doing it for me.
I worked at a school in Merrick LI. Wouldn't you know it. I met a guy there that said he was the father of the lead singer of this band. He was a nice guy. Drives a jeep and seems to enjoy life.
This reunion has me so fucking amazingly stoked. This was one of two bands (other was Dead and Divine) that I seriously was upset I never got the chance to see perform live. Some seriously talented dudes.
8 years later I reply… I remember when mixing and recording this, even the guitar tones I had a full-on studio setup with ribbon mics and dynamic mics on each guitar. It was complicated, line outs from each channel of the analog Midas console at FOH running into a little mobile recording rig I had. If I recall right it was only 24 inputs, but the band knocked its out of the park. I recorded The Receiving End of Sirens the same night, it was a lot harder to get that mix together. Truth is, the guys are REALLY good live, good enough that we decided to turn a show from the end of 2019 into a live record… and it came out epic!
@@RyanOJohn so glad you came up in these comments- huge props to you for recording/mixing this performance, it’s true that the mix and the bands performance is so good you sometimes forget it’s a live recording, and the “Alive After All” recording is somehow even better. On the TREOS mix from this show, that performance came out great too and they were also an amazing live band…but 4 guitars is too many guitars haha so bummed the TREOS/EOTC shows got scrapped because of covid. Would’ve been amazing to see them live together again.
We were all so stoked for those shows, it was a huge bum out to have that all cancel and schedules just didn’t work out to re plan it. Alive After All came out so good, and all actually live, no overdubs or anything, just a great band…!
@@RyanOJohn is there by any chance to see or hear those recordings on the same night? I listen to TREOS too and I hope there are live performance of them with this level of quality!
I remember reading somewhere that the lead singer and the other guitar got into a huge fight right before they got on-stage that almost got physical, and holy fuck did they manage to channel that energy into an intense, cathartic performance.
Still an amazing band. Unbelievable how these guys didn't get the fame they deserved.
Fame isn't all its cracked out to be. They deserved better, I'm just glad I got to appreciate this work of art...

Except for the singer recording most of the instruments of that album
He did the drums

I cannot even believe how good this is. It's a crying shame how little visibility LOWCOUNTRY got compared to Lucy.
This album still on repeat. World is unfair that this talent was not rewarded with more attention.

I would have lost my shit hearing this live. So sad I got into EOTC after they broke up, I would have LOVED this.
I was there and yes, you would have loved it.

clean base...superb mix
Fuck. This performance is pure genius. The vocal bends at the end?!
I'd love to see the HD version that is linked in the description but it said it's password protected :/
me too, i really dont know why i didnt upload it HD, back in 2011
This has to be one of the best live performances ever. It doens't seem like actual audio...

How does the lead guitarist do the glitching in the end slides? Sounds like the guitar cutting out.
Pickup toggle switch with one pickup set to low or no volume.
Nevermind, he's palm muting between picking.
Scheiße, ist das geil!
Ich wünschte, ich hätte die mal live erleben können. Wäre bestimmt grandios gewesen!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH HOLY SHIT THE SOLO IS AMAZING!!! i miss them so much
This is their best song.
Heard this at a friends house the other night... Me like!
God damn it! They better get back together or Imma pull some Misery shit!
I seent it live and it's a holy sheet moment
ENERGY
Damn.
And here I thought you weren't allowed to show sex on youtube.
so much talent. so much potential. to bad they couldnt keep the band together
the 3 people who disliked this are obviously deaf
My favorite part is @5:27 where he just shreds that keyboard
... WOW
Bass player is Jeremy not sal
This is fuckin insane!!!
This is so manly!
how much i would do to have a bass player like sal
Sal was the guitarist/ keyboardist/ backing vocals... not bass... that was Jerm
oh yeah, haha little slip up there, but i'd take either of them haha
Maiden Tshirt, like
Wait. so Bruce Wayne was drummer? XD
:)
I just ended up here looking for the latest Miley Cyrus song. Great mistake. (actually a friend just shared this) These guys are pretty good.
