They are talking about Rick Potion #9, where the writer claims the potion doesn't effect the Sanchez family because of unknown reasons

Ummmmm he missed like 100 details that leads to a lot of misinformation like the amount of misinformation is amazing its like watching a 5 years old saying the square root of pi also morty is a smart kid he literally knew how to use rick portal fun and use rick all broken machines and make them work things powered by evil morty and morty can manipulate very well morty might not be as smart as rick but he is smarter than half the universe he just does not have any confidence evil morty got confidence that's how he was able to do all that insane things so yeah watch the actual show

Something I realized was that Rick Prime was naked when coming out of a pod in the episode where Morty goes to his original dimension. This means he was actually there, shaking his booty at our Rick at his secret base. Rick was so close, but didn't follow through because of Morty.

2:52 tbh, I don't think I've ever been convinced that the opening there had the same Rick & Morty we follow through the rest of the series (with many episode possibly being alt versions as well). We're quickly introduced to the concept of parallel universes pretty early on and I think that was pretty deliberate. I really doubt Morty, even with dumb luck, could have disarmed a planet scale bomb while his grandpa was blacked out drunk.

You know channel runner isn't a R&M fan. The mutant situation from Love Potion doesn't affect Jerry/Beth/Summer, because their DNA is nearly identical to Morty's. Even hinted at when mantis' smell "Morty" only to find out it is just a direct relative and not the real thing.

You missed a good scene at the end of S2 E1 where the Rick actually shows a bit of his true feelings and tries to save Morty instead of fooling around for the first time

jerry's problem is that he can do stuff, but only when he's pushed to his limit and alone, he's surrounded by people that pamper and treat him like a baby so he just doesn't get to do anything with his potential

I guess you summed up what happened in each episode, but you left out things that had emotional resonance. The thing that makes Rick and Morty special is not the Sci-Fi or the pop culture references. It's the way the characters are changed by what happens. Rick intending to sacrifice himself for Morty in 2x01 is huge, as is Rick trying to commit suicide in 2x03. Why leave those out? I stopped watching after that because I couldn't tell if you were missing the point or just ignoring it.
What makes the show great are the original scientific idea's.
