I very rarely leave comments on videos and I'm sure there's other videos that explain this but your video was the first one I found and I immediately went to Amazon and found the silicone cookie molds. I've never done chocolate-covered Oreos but my daughter requested it for her baby shower which is my first grandbaby so I wanted to give her what she wanted and I swear that these came out so beautiful and smooth and clean and I truly appreciate you posting this video because it really saved me from providing a lumpy chunky covered Oreo. I even thought I pushed the Oreo cookie down too hard but they still came out beautiful. Thank you so much
I learned how to do chocolate covered Oreos by looking at your video! I have referenced it numerous time. Thanks for taking the time to provide a thorough video.
I was looking for ideas for my moms 75th surprise birthday party. You explained everything so well and made this look so easy. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks for the great video!!!
Thank you so much, I attempted to make them yesterday by dipping and it was so messy 😆.. so thank you. Those are so cute. I can't wait to try this method
I ate one of those white chocolate covered oreo today which was given to me by a friend. It was delicious and came over to see how they are made. Yours is the place I ended up and I loved the presentation 👏 thanks for sharing 👍
@@ChellsSugarRush oh that's so cool, hope you get many more orders 🤞 the one I got had some flowers painted on top using pastel colors. Stay connected pls 🙏
You can make them a few weeks before eating - They should NOT be stored in the fridge because that will change the composition of the chocolate - Store them in a cool, dry (no humidity) area …
I just watched your tutorial and am excited to make these...You make it look completely simple....One question is how do I store after they are made??? do they need to be in fridge?
Love your video!! So easy and detailed! Can't wait to make these! Thank you!! Would you need to refreeze Oreos again after adding the drizzle to decorate?
Hi. Did you warm the yellow chocolate inside the piping bag? When I make mine, the chocolate hardens quickly.Do I have to take it out of the bag again to warm it up? Ty
Hi Janine! I do warm it inside of the bag. Currently, I use a heating pad to lay my bags on when I'm working with them. This keeps the chocolate soft. Hope this helps! 😊
Oh yes, it's Wilton EZ Thin. You can get it from Amazon. Here is a link. 😊 Wilton EZ Thin Dipping Aid for Candy Melts Candy, 6 oz. www.amazon.com/dp/B00IE6YEOU/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_4R0A1NF0CKHTZX9VEHYC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Loved this video it was easy and concise. If I wanted to add pop sticks into it when is it recommended to do insert? I would love to make a Mother’s Day bouquet for an Oreo cookie lover
Thank you Adrianna! ❤ When I add sticks to these or my rice krispy treats I heat the pointed end of a kitchen thermometer and make a hole in the bottom for the stick. I do this after the chocolate is hard. Hope this helps! 😊
Where did you get the molds? Are they in the cookie or candy making section and is there special dimensions? Might have to order on line instead of a store.
anything handmade is priceless..most of the people selling this on etsy are probably poor and have to go through pain and suffering/manual labor to survive. The same goes for people who knit and sell hand made stuff..I've seen a couple with athritis and degenerative diseases..they're not doing this out of passion or hobby..what they are charging is for blood, sweat and tears!!
I bought a cake pop machine and did chocolate covered pretzels and candy bars wrapped in napkins like a swaddled baby then did sucker bouquets with tool. The baby shower was my first and was absolutely beautiful. The cake pop machine saved me so much money and I have it for future birthday parties. They charge so much for everything now. You don't have to use oreos there's cheaper cookies with vanilla and chocolate In one pk.
I tried this, but had trouble getting the coated cookie out of the mold. I let it freeze for about 10 minutes before trying, but was very difficult to remove. My mold is a very hard spinning leaf smooth mold. Do you have any tricks for making it easier to remove? Thanks for the great video!
The mold should automatically pull away. Place in the fridge and not freezer as you don’t want them to freeze. They will immediately pull away if you sit them on the counter for a few minutes and slightly twist the molds. If it’s silicone molds as long as they are completely dry then you can physically turn the mold inside out to pop them out. Make sure you are tempering the chocolate if it’s real chocolate and not overheating it & if they are the candy coating wafers they don’t need to be tempered, just melted.

I think they look nice. Thank you for the idea 💡.
You can also fill it up 3/4 way and then press the Oreo down and it won't show through, eliminating the second step (as chocolate cools).
Thank you for the helpful tutorial. I enjoyed it and cant wait to make chocolate covered oreos. :)

Being cookies and chocolate they will last quite a long time, but I usually stayed within a two week period.

I make thye in advance and wrap the box in saran wrap a couple of times to make it sure they are sealed tight and they stay fresh.
Great idea! 😊

From Amazon.

Do add food coloring for colored drizzle.
Hi Nancy! You can add food coloring to white chocolate or use colored candy melts for the drizzle. 😊

You mentioned 30 second intervals? In the microwave? For two minutes?
the plastic chemicals will leech into the chocolate making it toxic!!

If you add sprinkles will they stick to the cookies once the chocolate has hardened?

How early before an event can you make these?
Before they go bad or get hard?

How do you transport them without them melting if you are using them on a dessert table?
Hi Avery,
They should not melt unless they get near heat. Once they are set, it’s just like a candy bar.
Have you ever used almond bark to make them?
Perfect and beautiful 💖

Hello. Do you know how many oreos can be covered using the entire package of melting wafers?
Hi Judith! I use about 16oz. to make a dozen. You might get 8 out of a 10oz. bag. Hope this helps. 😊

To be honest the person making them has the investment of all their own materials to make them for sale.
