The days of seeing HSTs at Tondu are long gone too.
Only the VoG remains as a diversion route now, and that’s not used very much. Quite a difference from 20 years ago.
Quite agree, we've even lost the morning empties to Cwmbargoed and of course nothing to Aberthaw Power Station or Cement Works !
Do they still use the another freight lines any more
Yes, on the mainline ( Bridgend-Port Talbot). It was being worked on during this w/e 20 yrs ago.
The line from Tondu to Margam is closed
Lot goods there
Just so pleased I made time to "be there" 20 yrs ago. Little did I think it would soon stop !
