Philippines is a beautiful country in Asia that has dealt with the powers of Globalization. By definition, Globalization is the “global integration of international trade, investment, information technology and cultures” (Investopedia, n.d.).
Interestingly, Philippines is a country that is not highly export-dependent which means that the extreme effects of volatility in both export earnings and economic growth associated with economic shocks are nullified. Moreover, Philippines possesses an agrarian economy meaning they depend highly on the agricultural and raw material sectors; a combination of both traits has been shown to serve the country well (Canadian International Development Agency-Philippines-Canada Local Government Support Program, 2003). Notably, the Philippines’ 5th highest exports are minerals such as gold, copper, nickel, chromium, iron and magnesium (Index Mundi, n.d.). As the mining industry is still growing, so will global demand for these commodities as well.
Countries that received Filipino exports (semiconductors, vegetables, minerals, petroleum, etc.) include the United States, Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and South Korea, amongst many others.
Countries that the Filipinos buy imports from (electronics, petroleum, textiles, grains, plastics, etc.) include the above mentioned countries as well.
As you can see, Globalization has had a much more positive and not negative effect on the Philippines in terms of its economic development. Their balance of imports and exports continue to bolster their economy. Furthermore, the value of imports compared to exports indicates that Philippines received more resources than they lose (Philippine Statistic Authority, 2018)

One thing that I could think of is the impact of the Globalization in the tourism of each LGU.
Say for example, a local product is being snubbed due to the rise of imported products that are being sold.

It's a complex phenomenon because it has many dimensions ; social, political, economics, etc. The way to measure its success/failure varies depending upon the interest.
