Jami I'm starting a public library on my channel so anyone can look up examples of painting products. I added this to 3 different lists. i.e. what happens with milk paint when you have a too shiny surface and do not use bond. I absolutely love how this turned out and as usual you make it look so fast & easy! 🙂💗👍
Oh.....love this color ! What a beautiful piece it is. I looked at the cost and shipping will KILL ME TO NEW YORK! LOL..... 😢 i even looked at the map to drive out......LOL! I’ll go through many States and it would take me 2 1/2 days....LOL! And I LOVE THAT DOOR in the mud room ! You must be getting so excited ! Great job....love it ! 💕💕
Yay a furniture video! I love the curves and details on the dresser. Isn’t pennies from heaven amazing. I’m hoping Debi comes out with a silver patina next.
Perfect timing on milk paint. I am painting my old Hoosier Cabinet right now. Ran out of white milk paint so I’m doing second coat in cream color. I’m pretty sure there is lead paint on it originally so I’m just being very careful with the chippy so I’m gonna add a little extra bond and then wax over it I hope it’s beautiful thanks for the video
@@JamiRayVintage I had to watch it twice as well. But I love it.... Zeb please save it for the next blooper video.... or better yet - just put text over "we have a few loose screws" and leave it. ;)
I lovvvvveeedddd this OG style video!!! Reminded me of when I first started watching you redo furniture a long time ago. As usual you are the master furniture flipper. This turned out amazingly beautiful!!🥰 Hope you do more of these! Love you both!!
The dresser turned out beautifully. I am new to furniture painting and milk paint seems a little scary to me lol. Saw little Jack in the video, he is growing so much - he’s a cutie. Your children are so great to help like they do; of course, that comes from great parenting. Blessings to you 🙏🏻💕
i used my diy paint and wax for the first time on a spice cabinet and chair. Jami, a question, due to old neck injury, I had a real problem applying the wax and buffing it off. would it hurt the piece if I bought one of those buffers to go on my drill? you know those kind that guys use to buff their car? i won't invest in one if it won't work. I used wax on the spice rack and a chair, and been in a lot of pain sense. but man they both turned out sooooo pretty. my retailer gave me a good tip to burnish the wax with a plain brown paper bag. that really made a sheen. thanks.
Mary West I wouldn’t think it would but it just depends on how powerful it is and if your piece was super shiny before. If it wasn’t super shiny and you let it cure a few days I would think you would be fine
Mary West Honestly unless your piece is huge I’m not sure it would help much. Maybe a larger buffing brush? There is a pretty big one that Jami sometimes uses.
"Texture Junkie". Love it...we need a shirt. Loved the double home/painting video...
I love this pce so much that colour ❤❤❤
Love the color. Great watching you and Zeb.
Your color choice really gave new life to that outdated dresser. 😍
I love farm freash or sweet pickins milk paint to paint with it fantastic to use
I love that green color. Looks great

One Day Jayne, you’ll just have to come on out and load up a trailer so it’s worth it. 😊❤️❤️

It is amazing!
Pretty
Wowza! She’s gorgeous! I’m pretty sure Summer Cottage just became my new favorite color. Thanks!
The dresser turned out AWESOME! Such a beauty!
You can almost see how soft that paint is on that piece! It's well named, too. I've seen many a cottage that color over the years.

Loved it. Had to watch the ending twice to make sure I wasn’t seeing things when the Handle fell off
We’re missing a few screws lol. But we had to finish the video. We’ll fix it in the morning.

OMG 👍👍👍
This one turned out gorgeous. I love milk paint, you never really know what you are going to get. Well done x
She’s a beauty! You two are zipping along with the house. 👏👏
Love you guys, dresser turned out beautiful 🙏🇺🇸💕
You made that ugly duckling beautiful!
That's a great example of a piece that paint did what stain would never be able to do.
Instead of Beauty and the Beast it went from Beast to BEAUTY ❤ it your idea for the pulls was Awesome
Thank you!
Beautiful dresser, Jami. The house is coming along nicely too. Great work, team Ray!
I love to see your lashes from above, They look wild!!!!!!
Les Meyer I didn’t brush them today so they were extra wild lol.
Love the colour beautiful piece 😍
The farmhouse is coming along. Love the dresser it is gorgeous.
Jami, you have done a great job on this piece. Absolutely perfect. ❤❤❤
That is a pretty color . I don't remember seeing it when i bought my milk paint .
Love watching all the progress! The dresser turned out gorgeous!!
Great job Jami loved how the dresser turned out.
You go Rays !!
This turned out beautiful

Jamie, you have transformed that dresser, it really looks like it has naturally aged after years of wear.🇬🇧
Tyne Side thank you!
Good morning!! Where does Zeb get the drawer slide kits?
Patty Levine these were from Lowe’s. Most hardware stores carry them. 😊❤️
Which color does this compare to the most in DIY? Also if you want it more of a faint version of that color, would you add white to it or a white wax?
Yes to the white and white wax. I’d say it’s a paper version of mermaid tale
love that color how close is it to apothecary?
Apothecary is a lighter almost duller green. It’s a beautiful colour too. Very soothing and pleasing.

@@JamiRayVintage thanks, i let the wax dry overnight before i buffed it. just wondering about the need for a drill powered buffer.
I love the sheen from the paper bag. Maybe wax in sections over a few days so as not to overdo it.
Mary West Honestly unless your piece is huge I’m not sure it would help much. Maybe a larger buffing brush? There is a pretty big one that Jami sometimes uses.
Do you hand sand the round details?
Yup. The sander won’t get all the areas and you don’t want to flatten details.
Just curious why you put on so much paint for 1st layer? Especially if it takes 2 coats. Thanks.
Susan, i just our as much paint down as will stick on the first coat. The coat after that are just to get coverage
Looks awesome at the end. Great job. Great color too. It will sell fast.
Love it!
What do you mean be ‘bond’?
Extra bond. It what’s help the milk paint not chip and flake off on shiny or slick surfaces.
Elke Lewandowski we ship to Australia. I believe there are also some sweet pickins retailers there.
Jami Ray Vintage : thank you for the information; will have to check it out
Did you sand it before putting on the milk paint?
We don’t unless it’s a glossy finish
“Situation”
Jami, I think you misunderstood my comment about your lashes, Wild means great, wonderful or beautiful.
😊❤️
I mixed mine with milk ….. didn’t come out as nice as yours.
