Really like these videos, really informative. Do you have any advice for trying to learn the muting technique you use during the verse? I find that when I’m pressing one string and muting the other 5 with my left hand. And playing all 6 string with my left hand. I get unwanted harmonics or other strings ring out. I guess I find it hard to keep the right amount of pressure on the muted strings?? Hope this makes sense, kinda hard to explain.
Opr thanks very much. Are you a left handed guitarist? From what you’ve said I’d suggest that you are more accurate with your picking. Don’t strum strings you don’t need to play. As for good palm muting ensure that your picking hand is resting on the string saddles firmly but still allows the strings to vibrate. It’s hard to answer the question without showing but you should experiment around with the technique until you find a way that works for you
Opr ahh right. You’re not on about palm muting. Now I understand. It’s still hard to convey how to do it in just a comment. You need to make sure your fingering is accurate. As with everything else about playing guitar it’s all about practice

Harrychrisrobin right handed. Sorry meant to say muting with left hand and strumming strings with right hand.

Bass just plays the lower harmony live. Chris busts out the 5 string
J Melara bass plays the lower one on the record too
Listen to the multi track recording
